Whitney Bradshaw (@thewhitneybradshaw joins us to talk OUTCRY her ongoing social practice project where womxn, non-binary, and genderqueer people gather for collective scream sessions that center healing, resistance, and radical empathy. Through these sessions and the resulting photographs, OUTCRY creates space to be loud, take up space, and transform rage into personal and political power.

Taylor Jo (@zaagi.idiwin) Independent Artist from White Earth Nation, MN. And lastly, a short but sweet talk with Dana Trickey an Independent Artist from Waubun, MN.

he MdW Itasca Gathering was designed around the open studio and open space concepts, providing space for artists to connect, share, and create in a non-structured environment. It was hosted in collaboration with Manoomin Arts Initiative, MdW Coalition, The School for Rural Culture and Creativity, Racing Magpie, and the Region 2 Arts Council.

Half Libyan half South African ex-Londoner, Khalid is a film director but much prefers editing. Drawing on his past of collecting and mixing, editing is a natural and obvious space to continue making those links, juxtapositions and threads. ‘Notes on Music for Films’ combines the shared space of sound within stories mixing musical moments, soundscapes and dialogue from various films he has edited in the past few years.
