Currls (@currlsband) are a glam garage rock outfit from Brighton, UK; made up of the iconic Hannah, Rooney, and Holly. They have two bangin tunes out on Spotify, plus a special charity holiday song on their Bandcamp from December. Their music is fueled with creative expression and the message that being yourself is the most empowering thing you can do. They are recording new stuff soon and I personally can't wait to see what this band will do!

A maniacal cackle, some off-putting accordion, and one mad genius...this month's album was picked by the Boston based band Winkler, and it is none other than the iconic 'Rain Dogs' by Tom Waits. Nicci and Brady join us once again, along with Winkler, to dicuss this transitional album in Waits' career, why Brady gets all his music recommendations from Shrek 2, and the perils of signing a melon.

Julien's Daughter (@juliensdaughter) are an alt-rock band from Winnipeg in Manitoba, CA; made up of the incredible Emma, Ian, Cody, and Chelliot. They put out their debut EP, 'The Static That Carries Over', in January; captivating me with their unique sound while I was still across the pond in London. I wrote a review and then contacted them for an interview, which we conducted a little over a week ago on Zoom. Their music can be found on Spotify and all the usual places, and they have a new song coming very soon! It was fantastic to get to know them a little better as people and hear about their experiences so far as a band.

Gorf Girlz (@gorfgirlz) are an Atlanta based girl band made up of six exceptional musicians: Camille, Ajasia, Addie, Vivi, Kristian, and Charlee. They put out their fantastic single 'In My Park' in January, which can be found on Spotify and all the usual places. It was such a great time speaking with them about their experiences so far and I'm personally very excited to see what's to come for these legends!

Cheerbleederz (@cheerbleederz) are a London based band made up of three creative and talented musicians: Kathryn Woods, Phoebe Cross and Sophie MacKenzie. They put out their wonderful 'Lobotany' EP last February, which can be found on their Bandcamp or you can listen to them on Spotify and all the usual places. It was such a fun time speaking with them about their experiences as an all female indie punk rock band so far and I can't wait to see what's to come in 2021!

Pynch (@pynchband) are a London based band made up of four incredibly talented musicians. They recently put out their singles 'Somebody Else' and 'The World's Gone Crazy (For Love)' on vinyl, which can be found on their Bandcamp. It was a great time speaking with them about their experiences so far: playing with the Libertines, touring stories, working with producer extraordinaire Dan Carey, and what's to come in 2021! This month we brought together a few nice music connoisseurs to discuss Shame's second full-length album, Drunk Tank Pink; finished before lockdown last year, Shame sat on it for almost a year before releasing it in January.
