Mirella (@mirella.bk) are an experimental indie pop band based in Brooklyn, NY made up of three ambitious film students: Sam, Alex, and Vinny. They just released their debut EP 'Aura' end of last year, and it blew me away. Do go give it a listen on their Spotify or Bandcamp.
This month we brought together some lovely people to discuss Lenker's second solo album, Songs; recorded straight to tape, entirely on acoustic guitar, in a cabin in western Massachusetts by herself and her friend Philip Weinrobe.

I talked with Danny and Alex from the band, and hilarity ensued to say the least.

This week on the LUMR POD, we talked to Ben and Tom from the Nottingham based psych rock band, Soft Girls and Boys Club. Topics of conversation included their newest release "Jeefy Hymns", a compilation of their oldest and newest material; the deluxe version of which should be out November 20th. Other things we covered would be...oh yeah, Ben being locked in the boot of a sinking car, the meaning behind the album title, and their best gig story.
