Surveillance footage showed her leaving her dormitory with Benjamin Fawley, a 38-year-old amateur photographer she had met online earlier that year. Investigators used Fawley's internet activity—specifically photos he posted on MySpace—to narrow down the search. An ex-girlfriend of Fawley recognized a photo of a rural farm in Mathews County, Virginia, where they had previously visited. Sadly, on October 5, 2005, a month after she vanished, Behl's remains were found in a shallow grave in a remote area of Mathews County. Her case became one of the first major criminal cases solved using social media evidence. So what happened to Taylor Behl?
