If the Lord gave you a wish, what would you wish for? We're taking a look at King Solomon and the choice that he made when God asked him this very question.

God's grace does more than just comfort us; it INSTRUCTS us to do certain things. These are as follows:

-- Deny ungodliness and worldly desires (vs. 12).

-- Live sensibly, righteously, and godly in the present age (vs . 12).

-- Look for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of Christ (vs. 13).

-- Be zealous for good deeds (vs. 14).

The world is pulling us in so many directions. Compelling us to act like them, to speak like them, to live like them, but Jesus said "Not so with you." We are not to be like the world, he has called us to be a servant to all.

What do you call belief? Someone described belief as "I am at the end of myself. Therefore, I am resting all of my weight here." Have you come to the end of yourself? Are you resting all of your weight on Jesus Christ? Or are you still trying to do in the flesh what can only be accomplished by the Holy Spirit?

Beholding Christ’s Glory

There are so many voices trying to influence us every day, but we need to stick to God's Word. The word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it.

How close is the God's Word to you? With everything around us pulling us away from the Lord and what He has for us, we need to listen to God's voice and hold fast to Him.

What is God saying that He has for you? In Deuteronomy 26, God shows the Israelites what is in store for them in the promised land. He asks them to give the first fruits of the land as an offering to show His faithfulness. What has God promised you? Are you expecting to see what the Lord has promised brought to fruition? Are you bringing the first fruits of God's blessing?

Who has your ear? Who do you listen to and shapes your thinking? Is it the world or is it the Lord?
