Both of these scriptures tell us how important CHURCH is to our lives.

Psalm 92 says that those who are planted in the house of God shall flourish and no matter what life throws at it will continue to flourish. Hebrews say DON'T stop getting together and encouraging and challenging one another so that we can live out God's full potential.

? BUT WHY ?

We are starting a new series based off the book "Stepping Into The Kingdom"

We are starting by talking about what the Kingdom of God is and how it is that we step into it. // Chapters 1&2

- Mark 5:1-15 (NKJV) - Then they came to the other side of the sea, to the country of the Gadarenes. 2 And when He had come out of the boat, immediately there met Him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, 3 who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no one could bind him, not even with chains, 4 because he had often been bound with shackles and chains. And the chains had been pulled apart by him, and the shackles broken in pieces; neither could anyone tame him. 5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains and in the tombs, crying out and cutting himself with stones.

6 When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Him. 7 And he cried out with a loud voice and said, “What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God that You do not torment me.” 8 For He said to him, “Come out of the man, unclean spirit!” 9 Then He asked him, “What is your name?” And he answered, saying, “My name is Legion; for we are many.” 10 Also he begged Him earnestly that He would not send them out of the country.

11 Now a large herd of swine was feeding there near the mountains. 12 So all the demons begged Him, saying, “Send us to the swine, that we may enter them.” 13 And at once Jesus gave them permission. Then the unclean spirits went out and entered the swine (there were about two thousand); and the herd ran violently down the steep place into the sea, and drowned in the sea. 14 So those who fed the swine fled, and they told it in the city and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that had happened. 15 Then they came to Jesus, and saw the one who had been demon-possessed and had the legion, sitting and clothed and in his right mind. And they were afraid.

The NT teaches EVERYTHING has changed because the Kingdom of God is at hand

? WHAT IS THE KINGDOM ?

THE KINGDOM OF GOD - God as king! God's authority and His right to rule based on His might, power, and glory. It is the realm of God's rule as the one and only true God.

                    For example, when you go to someone else's house you are under                          their families' rules because it is their house. You are under their rule                      and rules.

                    Another example is the rules and rule of a different country if you                            were to visit. You are no longer under the rules or rule of America,                          but have entered into a different rule.

The KINGDOM OF GOD can be hard to understand as it is not RIGHT NOW tangible.

? WHAT IS THE PURPOSE and mission of Gods Kingdom?

The mission of God's Kingdom is the invasion of darkness, the defeat of the enemy, and the freedom and fullness of humanity.

This is what we see in Mark 5 as a man who was tormented was fully set free!

? SO HOW DO I STEP INTO THE KINGDOM ?

#1. You Must Be Born Again

#2. You Must Be Water Baptized

#3. You Must Be Baptized In The Holy Spirit

THERE IS LIFE AND FREEDOM IN CHRIST WHEN YOU STEP INTO THE KINGDOM

- Romans 12:2 - And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

 - 2 Timothy 3:16-17 - All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

- John 16:7 - Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.

- Matthew 5:13-16 (NKJV) - “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. 14 “You are the light of the world. - Matthew 5:13-16 (MSG) -  “Let me tell you why you are here. You’re here to be salt-seasoning that brings out the God-flavors of this earth. You’ve lost your usefulness and will end up in the garbage. 14-16 “Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill.

If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.

- Daniel 1:8-9 (NKJV) - But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s delicacies, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the chief of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself. 9 Now God had brought Daniel into the favor and goodwill of the chief of the eunuchs.

- Daniel 1:17 (NKJV) - As for these four young men, God gave them knowledge and skill in all literature and wisdom; and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.

- Daniel 2:47-48 (NKJV) - The king answered Daniel, and said, “Truly your God is the God of gods, the Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, since you could reveal this secret.” 48 Then the king promoted Daniel and gave him many great gifts; and he made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon, and chief administrator over all the wise men of Babylon.

Proverbs 22:10 says that if you cast out the scoffer or the one who is causing strife, then the conflict or the strife will cease. 

#1. Borders & Boundaries Eliminate Conflict 

Proverbs 13:20 // Proverbs 12:26 both talk about how important Godly relationships are, that when you walk with wise men you will become wise and that a righteous person should choose their relationship carefully knowing that the way of the wicked will lead them astray. 

#2. Good Relationship Are The Best Borders you can have 

Good friends and Godly relationships will help you guard you and remind you of who you are, your value, and not allow you to re engage in toxic relationships. 

#3. All of this is done in LOVE and with a GOOD heart
