In this session of the Monday Night Service Workshop, Billy N. of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida continues the study of A.A.’s Twelve Concepts for World Service with Concept 10, exploring the relationship between responsibility and authority in A.A. service.

Concept 10 examines an important principle of effective service: when a trusted servant, committee, or service body is given responsibility for a task, they must also be given enough authority to carry it out. Billy discusses why clearly defined roles, appropriate delegation, and trust in our trusted servants are essential to a healthy service structure.

Topics include matching responsibility with authority, defining the scope of service positions, delegation, accountability, trusted servants, group conscience, and the practical application of Concept 10 throughout A.A. service.
