Can a straight line find a little adventure—and maybe love?
In the first 15 minutes of this Lynn Logic episode, I’m reading The Dot and the Line: A Romance in Lower Mathematics by Norton Juster—a witty, imaginative story where geometry meets matters of the heart.
Join me for a little mathematics, a little romance, and a reminder that there’s more to a line than meets the eye. 💜

Grief, humor, and the stories we tell as we figure out who we are becoming.
In this episode of Lynn Logic, I sit down with Dr. Rondalyn Whitney—author, researcher, retired occupational therapist, mom, and widow—for a conversation about loss, identity, and finding room for life after everything changes.
Rondalyn brings both her professional work and her experience of losing her husband, Bill, to her writing about grief. She’s written 15 books, including Habits of Widows, Bridging the Gap: Raising a Child with Nonverbal Learning Disorder, and A Writer’s Toolkit for Occupational Therapy and Health Care Professionals. Her work also includes the Life in the Afterlife series.
She has more than 25 years of experience in occupational therapy and health sciences, an advanced certificate in narrative medicine from Columbia University, and a longtime interest in how journal writing can help us heal.
This episode has a lot of layers, and I’m proud of how they came together. You’ll find some favorite-book inspiration along the way, a little sparkle from Sparkle Sister Trish, Boogie interruptions, and outtakes—because there’s always more to the story.

Some trauma happens in broad daylight. In this episode, I sit down with Vincent Van Den Broeck for a conversation about the things that happen to us, the pieces they leave behind, and what it actually looks like to keep living after them.We talk about trauma, survival, a blood clot in the brain, the power of love, and the strange combination of humor and perspective that can come from making it through something that changed you.Because surviving is one thing.Living? That’s something else entirely. And since Vincent and I are talking about trauma that happened during the day, naturally I decided the appropriate visual theme was classic movie monsters trying to function in broad daylight. 😂Welcome to Duuude, Lynn Logic.Find Vincent Van Den Broeck on social media: Vincentinthekitchen#LynnLogic #DuuudeLynnLogic #SkullFragments #VincentVanDenBroeck #Trauma #Survival #LivingAfterTrauma #DarkHumor #ThePowerOfLove #Podcast
Skull Fragments: Part 3 — The Round Head
In Part 3 of my conversation with Vincent Van Den Broeck, we move from survival into recovery—and recovery is rarely a straight line.
Vincent talks about the path back after his accident, rebuilding his life piece by piece, and one particularly wild part of that process:
They 3D printed a piece of his skull.
Because apparently sometimes putting your life back together is very, very literal. 😂
This part of Skull Fragments is about healing, adapting, finding your way forward, and getting back to actually livinginstead of simply surviving.
And, of course, getting your round head back.

💀 Skull Fragments — Part 2: The Accident
In Part 2 of Duuude, Lynn Logic: Skull Fragments, Vincent Van Den Broeck takes us back to the 2024 accident that changed everything.
What happened. What he remembers. What he doesn’t. The injuries, the aftermath, and the reality of suddenly finding your life divided into a very clear before and after.
This is the part of Vincent’s story where “Skull Fragments” stops being just a hell of an episode title and becomes very, very literal.

Skull Fragments: Part 1 | Duuude, Lynn Logic
What happens when life changes in an instant?
In Part 1 of my conversation with Vincent Van Den Broeck, we go back to the beginning — before the skull fragments, before the recovery, and before anyone knew just how much life was about to change.
This is a conversation about trauma, perspective, humor, and what happens when surviving becomes something bigger: actually living.
