Live from the 2019 Stellar Awards in Las Vegas, Lyrical Café caught up with various gospel artists that at the Radio Announcer Awards segment of the show. In this interview we spoke with Tony Thompson, Mel Holder, Angie, and Carmen Brown, and hip-hop gospel rap artist Nia Cook.

In 1936-1938 interviews with former slaves were collected under the Federal Writer's Project. Philly native, Shav'on Smith, has been producing a stage play where actors are reciting the actual accounts of slave narratives. About 95% of the cast are Christian actors and actresses who tell the story of enslavement, faith, and freedom. The play is a must see for all ages.
