Xiami Music is a Chinese music app that attracted a good amount of unique users. It was famous as an excellent platform for the independent music producers and their followers. On 5th January, Alibaba announced to terminate its services for Xiami Music in a month (done on Feb.5th). Followed this, the team provided certain transfer services of the personal song lists or the purchased rights of listening.

Yet quite some music could not be transferred since their producers had only authorized to Xiami Music. Therefore the listeners count themselves as abandoned. Considering the other platforms are not as friendly as this fading one to the independent or unpopular musicians, we worry about their future too.

In the Vol.02, Wake Up Now hosts had a great discussion on this topic, so called "Music Refugees". If you have any idea or thoughts, or simply want to communicate, feel free to send me a message.

Today we talked about the new year change and the Spring Festival, so called the Chinese New Year. Traditions have been overwritten by the change of time. Young people hold quite different emotions at the New Year.
