Paul reminds the Roman Christians that, filled with God's goodness and knowledge, they are ministers of the gospel called to serve one another in word and deed. From his own priestly service to the Gentiles to his plans to visit Rome on his way to Spain, Paul shows what it looks like to boast in Christ alone and make the gospel our life's ambition. In Romans 15:1-13, Paul continues his teaching on Christian unity and addresses how we should respond when fellow Christians have different convictions, opinions, and consciences.

Rather than pleasing ourselves or judging those who think differently, Paul calls Christians to bear with one another, build one another up, and pursue unity. The ultimate example is Jesus, who did not please Himself but willingly carried our burdens.

In this lesson, we explore:

•  Why we should build one another up rather than judge 
•  How Jesus is the ultimate example of selfless service

Paul's message is simple but challenging: we don't have to agree on everything to be unified in Christ. Because Christ bore our burdens, we can learn to bear with one another.

In Romans 15:14-33, Paul reminds Christians that we are not simply recipients of the gospel—we are ministers of the gospel. Our service to Christ is a privilege, our relationships with one another are a blessing, and our ambition should be to share the gospel in both word and deed.

In this lesson, we look at Paul’s example of ministry and consider what it means to:

See our brothers and sisters as people filled with goodness and knowledge
Allow ourselves to be instructed by one another
Embrace our role as ministers of Christ
Discover how God has gifted us for service
Boast in Christ rather than ourselves
Make the gospel our ambition
Serve others through both word and deed
Recognize that ministry is a lifelong calling
Depend on prayer as an essential part of our service

Paul's heart for people and his passion for the gospel challenge us to ask: What has Christ accomplished through me, and how can I bring that to the world?

“By the power of signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God... I have fulfilled the ministry of the gospel of Christ.” — Romans 15:19

The message ultimately points us back to Christ: serve Him, serve His people, and make the gospel your ambition.

We conclude our Youth for God Weekend with this powerful message from Caleb Speer as he walks through Ephesians 3. Wrapping up the weekend's "Made for More" theme, Caleb reminds us that our greatest purpose is not found in our plans, careers, or accomplishments—but in bringing glory to God through Christ and His church. 

In this lesson, we discover that God has called us into something far bigger than ourselves. Our identity is found in Christ, our purpose is found in His mission, and our lives are meant to display God's wisdom and glory to the world. Caleb encourages both young people and adults to know Christ deeply, serve faithfully, and trust that God can accomplish far more than we could ever imagine.

As part of our Youth for God Weekend, we were blessed to welcome Caleb Speer as our guest speaker. In this Sunday morning lesson from Ephesians 4, Caleb challenges the church to embrace God's greater purpose—not merely attending services, but growing together in unity, truth, service, and spiritual maturity. 

This message reminds us that the church was never intended to simply coexist. We are called to be one body in Christ, equipped to serve, committed to speaking the truth in love, and continually growing into the likeness of Jesus.
