We are in a whirlwind of historical, political, world changing events right now! What's happened has blown my mind more than any bit of news, second hit of acid, or the realization that I should use extra large condoms! THIS IS HUGE!! I'm talking about... ZIPPER. This metal band, made up of just a few young dudes who absolutely thrash and rip to shreads whatever preconceived notions of what "kids today" call METAL. They're playin from the heart, and they're using their brilliant young minds to fashion a path onto the Madison music scene with breakout jams LIVE downtown on State Street, and recording music whenever they can to create what will be a new testament to modern metal. I can't show you how excited I am to see how this develops, but I can assure you that I will be supporting these guys 💯% of the way, because where they're going with this is already in my horizon. In this OFFICIAL Season 2 debut episode I will go a few jokes that I've red flagged and want to offer some context to, as to soothe and otherwise relieve any tension between me and my audience. But the main topic is the announcement of my book. Now, I know I've been talking about this for literal YEARS, but I've finally settled on a direction, a format, subject and title. That's right! We're closing out the first season, and on a bit of a sour note. It is what it is, and I'm not gonna cry about it or make excuses. Character defects, when trying to rid oneself of them anyway, are, as I've said in the past, like whack a moles... Every time you bang one down, another pops up! But, as I have also, back then... I was pretty full of shit! L🤷‍♂️L Now, I'm not here to beat myself up put myself down. I've been tossed aside enough by some and pushed around by others still, and, quite frankly, I'm getting tired of all these geometric puns. If I ever forget which way I'm going again just allow myself to safely fall down, and then go in an opposite direction. THE POINT IS that if I intend on actually ridding myself of my shortcomings I must be not only willing to look at, process and examine my motives and intent in the many situations where I found myself a victim to others vicious sick cruelty, but also the part I played in putting myself there in the first place. It's an awful, ugly road to back down, to be sure, but the benefits that I stand to gain by doing so are insurmountable. So I must continue pushing through this mess of uncertainty and uncomfortable feelings in order to free myself of the strangling hold of my menacing ways. With my guest, Alyssa!
