Made-For-TV Movie Club Podcast

Join us In the Clubhouse for a Very Special Episode! Horrorwriter Mark Slade joins us in The Clubhouse! Patty Goodwin and her adopted sister Sarah go to college and join rival sororities. Sarah finds that she has telekinetic powers, which plunges the college campus into a terrifying night. Deemed a Carrie rip-off, this film from 1978, Sarah has merits of its own which makes it a tv movie we still talk about today.

Welcome to the summer of hits and misses! For this episode,we break down another failed Aaron Spelling-produced tv movie pilot. A very young Tori Spelling has a small role in this one! Starring Billy Dee Williams and Parker Stevenson, this 1983 tv film probably failed because its premise wastoo messy – two actors get fired from their jobs and start a PI business. They run the business out of the restaurant they own while raising homing pigeons on the roof. The helicopter chase could not move this one to series!

From 1984, Velvet is an Aaron Spelling-produced vehicle that was meant to be an updated Charlie’s Angels.
