She and her sister decided to create a sustainable conversation platform dedicated to exploring important topics such as fashion, upcycling, recycling, sustainability, and the impact of fast fashion on our environment and communities.
In Episode 7 of Season 2, we are joined by Belinda Atieno, a champion of sustainable fashion in Kenya and the Co-Founder of Eco Fashion Week, a platform that brings together fashion designers, industry experts, government representatives, and other stakeholders to discuss the future of the fashion industry in Kenya and across Africa.
This special episode was filmed at Delight Fashion School in Nairobi, where we were surrounded by inspiring collections and fashion pieces created by the school's students using recyclable and upcycled materials. Their creativity demonstrates how fashion can embrace sustainability while giving new life to materials that might otherwise be discarded.
