The price of oil is at a record low, with a barrel less than half of what it cost a year ago. European consumers benefit, as fuel gets cheaper at the pump and in the home. But cheap oil isn't necessarily good for everyone. As revenues ebb for oil-producing nations, Europe may feel the repercussions.

Turkey's economy is feeling the pressure from Russia's ban on imports of Turkish fruit and vegetables. The ban is just one of the sanctions Moscow imposed after Turkey shot down one of its warplanes in November, 2015. The import bans took effect on January first. Many Turkish sellers are hit twice: once with the loss of a major market and again with the resulting drop in prices.
