Made it Out of the Group Chat - The Podcast

We’re back from Stillwater with our hats (barely), some emotional damage (mild), and all the stories you didn’t know you needed. Mary Kate’s husband threw his phone in a gas station trash can.

We unpack concert chaos, shady girls from 2006, what makes a “tricky person,” and why everyone’s ex is somehow still at The Penny. Plus, book déjà vu, charcuterie carts, GPS betrayals, and a burrito that, allegedly, slaps harder than a sissy fight.

There’s no real structure. But there is a lot of laughter, light cussing, and one honest question: Why would anyone want to listen to us?
Answer: Because it’s a group chat—and you’re invited.

This week on Made It Out of the Group Chat, we cover everything from Morgan Wallen’s new music drop to why Brooke’s tech is still not cooperating.

Mary Kate and Hannah Mo are looking polished and professional. Brooke? She’s live from a suitcase, fresh off a speaking gig in Illinois and heading straight to Hot Springs. It’s giving chaos—but we showed up.

We talk about why some folks love Morgan Wallen and others won’t touch his music, plus Mary shares her latest country music rabbit hole: Laci Kaye Booth. Spoiler—she’s from the same town where Mary Kate is currently raising her family.

Meanwhile, Brooke’s still trying to get into A Court of Thorns and Roses and...not loving it yet. But she’s giving it a fair shot. Mostly. Kind of.

If you came for structure, this may not be your episode. If you came for relatable rambling, tech issues, and unsolicited book reviews, pull up a seat.

On today’s episode of Made It Out of the Group Chat, we’re giving a new recording platform a whirl—and well, it’s a bit of a wild ride. From fuzzy video feeds and mystery audio glitches to an in-depth breakdown of why homemade protein coffee just isn’t it, we’re embracing the chaos. It’s the first Monday back after spring break, and things are...happening. If you’ve ever felt like a hot mess trying to do something new, this one’s for you.
