SHOW NOTES
Ten years and eighty-six episodes later, and it’s all come down to this. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to Made Of Fail in any way, be it as a fan, friend, guest, writer, host, editor, artist or more…thank you with all our hearts. Committitur alicui.
IN ORDER OF APPEARANCE:
Yeah, the celebrity appearances were shout-outs from conventions years and years ago but I never got to use them in-podcast and I really wanted to and it’s the last show so there. :P
Any absences were not intentional and just a matter of various timing or technical reasons.
Congratulations to Lewis “Linkara” Lovhaug for also making it to ten years of his own show, which is only slightly more popular than our own. ;) Visit him at Atop the Fourth Wall!
Please do read our very own Kayleigh Donaldson’s articles at Pajiba, SyFy Wire and ScreenRant.
She is also a host on Anglo-Filles, which we continue to proudly host on the Made Of Fail Network.
Here is Kevin’s “résumés for nerds” thread which…took off just a little bit.
DC Comics’ Vertigo imprint is coming back and it looks absolutely amazing. Read about it here at Comicosity!
Our friend and guest Matthew Rossi has written some excellent books about queer people doing magic and coming together as a found family, and you can buy them here. You can even get a free EPUB of the first book in the Nameless series here!
FINAL SHOW NOTE: Make sure you are registered to vote in November and then vote against everything that carrot-colored criminal conman stands for.

SHOW NOTES
Unfortunately, John desperately needs help for medical bills and living expenses. If our loyal fans could donate to or spread the word on social media about his GoFundMe, it would be an enormous help. (Note: the total will be off by $1,000 because he used his old GFM link rather than create a new one.)
MOVIES MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE
Hey kids! Do you want to revel in the glory of the Marvel monster comics? WELL GUESS WHAT:
Who doesn’t need a little Fin Fang Foom in their life?
Learn about The War Of the Worlds because it’s really cool:
Faceless by Matthew Rossi is now out on Amazon! It’s Book Three of the Nameless series and absolutely wonderful.
Seriously, read Ms. Marvel.
Music used in this episode:
Blue Voodoo “Godzilla” (live Blue Öyster Cult cover) (hey that’s my ex-brother-in-law on bass/lead vocals) (parentheses!)

SHOW NOTES
H.P. Lovecraft’s racism and bigotry is well-documented, and there is an excellent article by Bobby Derie citing Alan Moore about this here.
The Fandomentals put together the most well-written, respectful, bulletproof editorial about Supergirl and its problematic narrative in Season Two. It’s the most literate, eloquent “Fuck Mon-El” I’ve read yet. Please do give it a read.
Jessica Cruz is so important to me and this is why.
Our buddy Linkara reviewed possibly the two worst John Byrne Superman stories ever: Action Comics #592 and #593. Watch, and brace yourself. [Content Warning: sexual abuse]
So the Jem and the Holograms and Misfits comics are – dare I say? – outrageous and incredible. There’s a great character focus which was missing from the cartoon and they’re all unique and diverse, so if you’re into that, I urge you to check them out.

SHOW NOTES
Thank you very much to Arialynn and Jarrick for joining us this episode! Even if you don’t play World Of Warcraft, we assure you, this episode is more about how games and real life can affect one another. Stick around for this one, hm?
If you do play WoW and are interested in role-playing, keep an eye on Templars Of the Rose (Earthen Ring-US, Alliance; Horde counterpart is Blood Of the Rose). As of this recording, recruitment is temporarily closed to the general public, but we do open up from time to time. We also have a presence in Star Wars: The Old Republic and Final Fantasy XIV.
Ari can also be heard on the Lorecast podcast! Check it out at http://lorecast.org/.
World Of Warcraft can be downloaded at https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/
We touched a bit on introversion, shyness and depression in this episode. Since we can’t all have a Guild Mom or Raid Dad to watch over us, here are a couple of helpful links:
Thanks to Brandon and his Photoshop skillz for the sweet-ass image for this episode!

Welcome back Adam, Tessa and Weston, the original Failcrew! Thanks so much for being on this episode!
Adam recommends Stardew Valley, created by Chucklefish (@ChucklefishLTD on Twitter). Also by Chucklefish: Starbound!
Stardew Valley was reviewed by our own Kate Spencer right here, if you’d like to read more about it.
Tessa had a lot to say about Mighty No. 9. If you want to see what designer Keiji Inafune had to say about all the problems, Kotaku has an article here.
There are a lot of places to discover and/or fund indie games and other projects. For those of you who are unfamiliar with these platforms, here’re links to fill you in on the details:
This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things: crowdfunding scams do exist. Elena Mikhaylova wrote a great article on Crowdcrux about ways to spot them.
We have recommendations for you guys to check out:

SHOW NOTES
It’s our eighth anniversary! The traditional gift is bronze so we dipped Kevin in molten metal and set him on the shelf. It’s a real conversation piece, let me tell you.
Okay but for real though we’ve gone back to the beginning – Kevin and Dayna live in one room for this episode, sorry not sorry. We’ve also updated the site with all the old episodes of Made Of Fail, so you can download them at your leisure! Links have been updated where applicable, and so has our podcasting guide! Dig around the website – everything should be nicely organized for your reading and listening pleasure!
Our new opening theme was composed by Jason Froikin in Garageband and edited together by Devin Baker. Thank you guys!
Marvel, you are Captain America-ing wrong. Reeeallly wrong. Jess Plummer wrote the definitive piece on why the Captain America twist is unconscionably deplorable. And yes, this DOES make Captain America a Nazi. See our image above.
“Delete your account.” MA’AM.
Peter David calls to Bernie Sanders supporters to come together with Hillary Clinton supporters for the sake of America’s future. We agree.
John Scalzi writes about life’s “lowest difficulty setting” here.
Voters can find sample ballots for their area here.
SPECIAL NOTE: This recording took place before the tragic shooting at Pulse in Orlando. Lists of resources to aid the families of the victims are here and here, and here is how to find your congressmen if you want to tell them enough is enough. Made Of Fail loves and supports our LGBTQIA+ friends, family and fans.

Happy New Year’s Eve! This episode we welcome Dayna back behind the mic as well as our Jessica Jones reviewer, Jamus! Don’t worry, Cleo and Emily will be back next year. Or else. Ladies. :P
SPOILER WARNING: We spoil a lot of Marvel’s Jessica Jones in this episode. Haven’t seen it yet? Go do the thing! We can wait.
You kind of seriously want the comics, by the way. Both Alias and The Pulse are available on ComiXology! (Clearly superior physical book form here at Amazon.)
Goddammit we said not to ask about the whiskey but here you go: Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye, 2015’s whiskey of the year.
David Tennant in Broadchurch (we never got back to it later)
Here is the original Women In Refrigerators site, and you can read more about it on Wikipedia and TV Tropes.
