Description: In a time labeled the Golden Age of Poisoning, it should be no surprise that a high number of suspicious deaths were caused by lethal dosage in the Victorian Era. This frequent method of chemical killing was largely due to a lack of regulation surrounding the sale of poison, which many wrongdoers used to their advantage. One such wrongdoer was Dr. Thomas Neill Cream, who murdered ten people, most of which were prostitutes, with what would seem to be no motive other than an occasional blackmail money grab. Additionally, thanks to his alleged claim of being the renowned killer of 1888, this particular poisoner also landed himself on the list of possible Jack the Ripper suspects.
