Maed in India

Apart from “quarantine” and “lockdown”, a contender for 2020’s word of the year has to be “uncertainty”. Our recording sessions came to a grinding halt in March and we were stuck indoors through most of the year, unsure of when we’d be able to get back into the studio again. Yet, as we look back at 2020 (even though many of us may not want to), the one thing that remained the same was darn good music. So let’s enjoy some of the best performances on Maed in India last year.

Song List:

Ep.201 Parvaaz - Mastaan (01:32 - 07:02)

Ep.203 Taba Chake - Hugulo (07:50 - 10:37)

They say that an artist’s music is like a portal into their soul, almost like going through their diary. Technically a little invasive. No? Ok but this week’s mixtape is about deep thoughts, in our defence. So be prepared for diary entries that take you through heartbreak, work-life balance, and crashing hard-drives.

With the untoward and unpredictable times we find ourselves in, it’s time to go back to simpler things in life. The little joys that give us more grounding now than ever before. Our latest chapter of Maed in India, brings you quite a few love songs and so, Mae has named this Maed Mixtape, bhindi. Her love affair with bhindi is overwhelming, emotional, undying and most probably unrequited. And yet, there is always a piece of bhindi in her heart. This is dedicated to all the different kinds of love we have in this world.

Yeah, we’re trying to stay positive as you can tell.
