Headlining this week’s podcast is an experimental act from Bangalore. They are called Blushing Satellite. You’ll find out why they are called that and what their sound is all about on this week’s show. Diving into some Bombay blues this week will be little ol’ me and a band called Stones From The Sun. Formed at new music institute, True School of Music, this band have been craving out a corner for themselves in the gig scene this year. Working on their new record, they will be performing unreleased material on Maed in India. Also on the show is a stripped down session by The Koniac Net lads, vocalist David Abraham & guitarist Jason D’Souza; A song that Maed My Day comes from electronica wizard Donn Bhat. And age no bar as kicking off the show is a barely legal band from Bombay started by brother-sister duo Zian & Tizaan Alphonso, called Groove Gully.

Officially the 20th episode of Maed in India and my 20th artist headlining is Indian-born California-based singer-songwriter Zoya Mohan, who’s indie folk style will lilt into a pensive state of mind. Also on the show is a #StrippedDown session with multi-instrumentalist Jose Neil Gomes, and a debut track #JustOut by Odisha rockers Highway Jammers. Episode 14 brings you a lovely lady to headline. The first female musician performing on Maed in India, I have popstar and indie singer-songwriter Vasuda Sharma. Along with her, I have a new release by bass heavy DJ Su Real with his pelvic thrusting hit from his EP Brown Folks. Then a song that’s Maed Abroad by UK based, Telugu lad, Alluri which is reminiscent of the Brit pop era. Kicking off the show is an uplifting tune about memories by Delhi electro pop act Jester.
