Maester Monthly, your favorite (pseudo)monthly podcast, is back!
Last month we kicked off a new podcast hosted by us, the moderators of /r/asoiaf. Maester Monthly is our space to talk about our favorite recent highlights from the subreddit, as well as doing a little in-depth ASOIAF discussion of our own.
This episode covers some of our favorite stuff from February (and late January) 2017. We introduce a new segment, the Unpopular Opinion Thunderdome, and debate the merits of A Feast for Crows – is it as Subtly Nuanced as some people claim? Finally, we round out the hour with an in-depth discussion of, fittingly, the Maesters and the Citadel.
Your hosts are /u/Bookshelfstud, /u/glass-table-girl, and /u/JoeMagician; we’re joined this episode by Very Special Guest /u/MightyIsobel!

As always:
– We make NO MONEY from this, no ads/patreon etc. You can pay us in upvotes and sweet nothings whispered in our ears.
– A HUGE THANKS to /u/-Sam-R- and /u/AdmiralKird, our fearless, tireless editors/producers who put in an insane amount of effort to make sure we sound like fairly well-adjusted, funny people.

Hello!
As the recent Best Ofs have demonstrated, this subreddit somehow continues to churn out high-quality posts and discussions. We moderators are always bowled over by these posts, and wanted to provide people with a curated highlights reel of our personal favorite posts over the past month or so.
After months of discussing, planning, sweating, and chatting, we’ve put together a (pseudo)monthly podcast, Maester Monthly!
This episode covers some of our favorite posts from January 2017 (and very late December 2016); after those subreddit highlights, we then talk about all the Best Of winners for the Best Of 2016 awards. Your hosts are myself (/u/Bookshelfstud) and /u/glass-table-girl, with special guests /u/JoeMagician, and GRRM /u/BryndenBFish. /u/AdmiralKird pops up in there too.
