When magical gloves can be used to catch missile weapons, everything gets pretty crazy. You think it's cool if a monk or a ninja catches an arrow? What about a barbarian who could catch an enormous ballista bolt?! What about when your archer catches a magic arrow out of the air, then sends it right back?!! Gloves of Missile Snaring is an awesome item that could give a lot of flavor to your game.
