Magical Moments with OshunsLight

In 1928, a woman known as Anna Ecklund arrived at a Franciscan convent in the small town of Earling, Iowa. She was about to become the center of one of the most disturbing alleged cases of demonic possession in American history.

For nearly a month, priests and nuns reportedly witnessed violent outbursts, terrifying voices, physical struggles, reactions to holy objects, and alleged communications from entities claiming to be demons and even Anna's own father.

But the darkest part of the story was the accusation that her father had sexually desired his daughter and, after she rejected him, had placed a curse on her.

Was Anna truly possessed? Was she experiencing trauma or a condition that medicine in 1928 couldn't explain? Or was something else happening inside that Iowa convent?

In this episode, we step inside the Earling exorcism and follow the story from Anna's troubled childhood through the terrifying events of 1928, the priests and nuns who witnessed them, the alleged entities who spoke through her, and the final night when Father Theophilus Riesinger believed he had finally driven the evil from her.

This is a story about faith, trauma, possession, family secrets, and the thin line between the supernatural and the unexplained.

Content note: This episode discusses alleged sexual abuse, incest, demonic possession, death, and disturbing religious experiences.

Six planets gather before dawn, a total solar eclipse moves through Leo during the day, and the Perseid meteor shower peaks that night, all in a single 24-hour window. Since eclipses only happen at new moons, this is also the biggest new moon of the year. In this episode, I walk through all three events as one complete spiritual sequence: Jupiter's role in the planetary parade and how to set a money intention under that sky, the eclipse's connection to the Leo-Aquarius nodal axis and how to name and release an identity that's ready to close, and the Perseids themselves, including the real history behind their other name, the Tears of Saint Lawrence.

Every Lion's Gate post mentions the number 8 in passing and moves on. This episode actually gives it its due. I break down why 8/8 matters numerologically every year, and then show you something most people have missed entirely: the full date 8.8.2026 reduces down to the number 8 itself, three separate times nested inside one date, making this year's portal a genuine Triple-8 Gateway rather than the usual double.

I also trace why the number 8 shows up as sacred across ancient Greek, Chinese, and Indian traditions that had zero contact with each other, and what that pattern actually means for what you set into motion this August 8th. Free episode, for everyone.

Tomorrow's Full Buck Moon lands in Aquarius, but it's not arriving alone. Three days ago, the lunar nodes shifted signs for the first time in over a year and a half, with the North Node moving into Aquarius and the South Node into Leo, the same sign this full moon opposes. In this episode, I break down what this full moon actually illuminates about loyalty and community, why the node shift is asking us to release performing for approval, and how the still-active Mercury retrograde shadow from last month is pulling old family patterns into the mix at the exact same time.

Then I bring it back to something practical: why this specific overlap is one of the clearest protection windows of the year, not because you should be afraid, but because clarity is finally available about who and what actually deserves your energy. I close with real steps to take before and during tomorrow's full moon, and an honest look at Thunder Shield for anyone who wants that protection held for them. Free episode, for everyone in this space.

Mercury Retrograde in Cancer ended on July 23rd, but its shadow doesn't fully clear until August 6th, right as the Lion's Gate Portal builds toward its August 8th peak. In this episode, I break down what the Lion's Gate actually is, from the Egyptian Isis and Sopdet tradition to the Dogon and Sirius mythology, and why this window has been treated across cultures as a moment when manifestation moves faster and the veil grows thin.

I also unpack what this specific Cancer retrograde stirred up around home, family, and emotional safety, why old wounds resurfaced without warning, and exactly where these two events are overlapping right now. You'll walk away with real practices to release what the retrograde taught you before the Lion's Gate amplifies it, whether you're doing this work on your own or want it held for you.
