Today we are speaking with Ethan Karp, CEO of the Manufacturing Advocacy & Growth Network (MAGNET) and Felix Brueck, board chairman. They lead MAGNET, a nonprofit organization and Ohio Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) in its mission to support, educate, and champion manufacturing in Ohio with the goal of transforming the region’s economy into a powerful global player.
Before Ethan became CEO of MAGNET in May 2015, he served as vice president of client services and marketing and was director of MAGNET’s Partnership for Regional Innovation Services to Manufacturers – or PRISM – a program to connect manufacturers to innovation resources in the region.
In addition to serving as chair of the MAGNET board, Felix co-founded with his wife Books@Work, an initiative of That Can Be Me. This program connects professor-led literature seminars to front-line workers for lifelong learning, as well as help companies incorporate “soft skills” such as critical thinking and collaboration, into the workplace.
Covering the latest topics, Manufacturing Tomorrow guests include company C-suite executives and engineers to industry-facing academics, supportive government and regional economic development agents of change. More information is at http://omi.osu.edu/podcast.
