The first chapter of the Charlotte saga, a strange little punky number with a Led Zeppelinesque breakdown and lyrics of a misfortunate love affair - comes around as the first number of the self-titled debut. With the drums in the chorus basically only snare-hits it does have a type of link to this week’s other tune - "Childhood's End" - in which the chorus’s foundation is a smattering tom-pattern. Henrik is with us again to help get things right and orderly.

Caught Somewhere in Time & Space! This week we team up with Fateme Khodayari to discuss this massive opening track. This soul-selling time-traveling deal, what does it entail? Is Adrian's solo what makes the song what it is? How does it hold up live?

We also take a peek into Murray's shuffle-based, dare-we-say sleaze rocker, Chains of Misery, and discuss Maiden adapting to the Chinese regime. Enjoy!

We discuss the daunting task of accepting brand new material into your Maiden-world andhow neither the future nor progress, in general, can be stopped. We also get into how to compose a chorus, coupling Maiden albums by elemental habitat, and pyramid-building sky-gods.

This week we tackle two very different, yet strangely alike songs, from the latter half of the band’s discography. Just like last week, we talk a lot about Steve as well – such as family, the smell of the Piece of Mind 1998 CD reissue booklet, the catholic church, and "happy baby burning". Erik Arkö and his bass joins in once again to beef things up.

The three amigos are back in the village! Two of the most energetic Maiden bangers to date constitutes today's topic. Henrik joins us again, sharing his memories and expertise as we dive headfirst into the B’s.

We also touch on some of Bruce's final shows in his first run with the band, the lack of guitar harmonies, and the possible identity crisis of 1990s Iron Maiden. It's not likely to happen, but we also discuss the prospects of a 1990s retrospective tour set.
