    ਬਾਬਾ ਨਜਮੀ ਇੱਕ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਸਾਹਿਤਕਾਰ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਗ਼ਜ਼ਲਾਂ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਦਾ ਅਨਮੋਲ ਖਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਅੱਖਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ, ਮੇਰਾ ਨਾ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਸੋਚਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਹਾਨ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਜ਼ਬਾਤ ਦੀ ਡੂੰਘਾਈ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਹਨ। ਹਰ ਗ਼ਜ਼ਲ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਰੰਗਾਂ – ਪਿਆਰ, ਵਿਛੋੜਾ, ਸੰਘਰਸ਼, ਅਤੇ ਸੁਪਨਿਆਂ – ਨੂੰ ਇੰਨੀ ਸਾਦਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਹਜ ਨਾਲ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸੁਣਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਾ ਦਿਲ ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਜੁੜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਬਾਬਾ ਨਜਮੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਰਚਨਾਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਨਵੀਂ ਉਚਾਈਆਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਗ਼ਜ਼ਲਾਂ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀ ਸੀਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਪਰ੍ਹੇ ਹਨ।
