  • Episode 32: WCW Souled Out 2000
This was the very last WCW Souled Out event (thank God) before being replaced with the infamous Sin pay-per-view. Oddly enough, Sid Vicious headlined both this show and Sin, and Sin would mark the end of his in-ring career. However, on this show, it would mark the beginning of Chris Benoit's WCW Title reign and also the last match of his WCW career. Want to find out how and why? The Marks discuss this in great detail, the show being a complete mess due to injuries, Bret Hart and Jeff Jarrett both being forced to stay home with concussions (those injuries I just mentioned), Billy Kidman competing in THREE MATCHES in one night, Kevin Nash killing an old man in a Hardcore match, and so much more! Listen in to hear about WCW circling the drain in January of 2000.FOLLOW US ON TWITTER & INSTAGRAM: @MainEvent_MarksFOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK: facebook.com/maineventmarkspodEMAIL US AT: [email protected] FOR US ON YOUTUBE AT: Main Event Marks

  • Episode 31: WWF Royal Rumble 1990 (Every Man For Himself)
IT'S EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF! Co-host Greg's little Hulkamaniac heart was racing for this one as Hulk Hogan came face-to-face with the Ultimate Warrior for the first time in the Royal Rumble match! This show was building up to the historic WrestleMania VI where those two clashed in Toronto. Andre the Giant made his final Royal Rumble appearance. Someone gets their hair cut by "The F'n Barber" that wasn't supposed to get their hair cut. The Macho King also keeps his rivalry going with The American Dream. And at the end, HOGAN MUST POSE, PAL!!! The show itself wasn't amazing, but it was historic. Plenty for the Marks to dive into on this blast from the past!FOLLOW US ON TWITTER & INSTAGRAM: @MainEvent_MarksFOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK: facebook.com/maineventmarkspodEMAIL US AT: [email protected] FOR US ON YOUTUBE AT: Main Event Marks

  • Episode 30: WCW Starrcade 2000
It was the last one. That's about all we can really say about it. Starrcade 2000 seemed more like a 3-hour, commercial free edition of Nitro from that same year...which wasn't a good watch. However, there is plenty to poke fun at, laugh at, and think about in retrospect. There's not much to enjoy on the pay-per-view, however, there's plenty to enjoy on this 20-year lookback on the podcast!FOLLOW US ON TWITTER & INSTAGRAM: @MainEvent_MarksFOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK: facebook.com/maineventmarkspodEMAIL US AT: [email protected] FOR US ON YOUTUBE AT: Main Event Marks

  • BONUS: AWA SuperClash III (Lawler vs Von Erich)
This was a first watch for both of the Marks, Troy & Greg. The show itself wasn't really good, but it was certainly a time capsule into the dying territories of 1988. What could possibly go wrong when multiple rival territories hold a super show with all their talents taking each other on in worked wrestling matches? Listen and you'll find out. It's also discussed how Vince McMahon tried to kneecap the event before it ever even happened, even thought AWA and WCCW were nowhere near the level of the WWF (or even the NWA/WCW) at this time.FOLLOW US ON TWITTER & INSTAGRAM: @MainEvent_MarksFOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK: facebook.com/maineventmarkspodEMAIL US AT: [email protected] FOR US ON YOUTUBE AT: Main Event Marks

  • Episode 29: WWF D-Generation X: In Your House
It was the 19th In Your House of all time, it was the final WWF pay-per-view of the year 1997, it was themed for D-Generation X, and Shawn Michaels main evented against Ken Shamrock in a WWF Title match. That's about all we can say about it... It wasn't particularly good. It wasn't particularly outstanding. However, there was some goofy crap to talk about on this one as well as some stuff that set up for the Royal Rumble and more going into the year 1998. Co-host Greg remembers this show fondly while other co-host Troy watched this for the first time...and wasn't impressed. Check it out and decide for yourself where this one falls on your scale.FOLLOW US ON TWITTER & INSTAGRAM: @MainEvent_MarksFOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK: facebook.com/maineventmarkspodEMAIL US AT: [email protected] FOR US ON YOUTUBE AT: Main Event Marks

  • Episode 28: WCW Starrcade 1996 (The Match of the Century)
1996 was a banner year for professional wrestling in the WWF and WCW with World Championship Wrestling's biggest show of the year, Starrcade, being no exception! Co-host Greg remembers watching this play out before his very eyes as a pre-teen while co-host Troy is watching this all for the first time. Jump in to the world of wrestling when the NWO had just formed, Shawn Michaels and his bad attitude were running wild in the WWF, and ECW was just about to pick up steam with their cult-like audience. All this and much more are covered in this podcast that covers Starrcade 1996, which had a good blend of international flare, big time storylines, and nostalgia!FOLLOW US ON TWITTER & INSTAGRAM: @MainEvent_MarksFOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK: facebook.com/maineventmarkspodEMAIL US AT: [email protected] FOR US ON YOUTUBE AT: Main Event Marks

  • Episode 27: ECW Massacre on 34th Street 2000
ECW was literally a walking corpse, but they were still trying to put on some good shows (by their standards) in December of 2000 in the Hammerstein Ballroom on 34th Street in New York City. While co-host Marks, Troy & Greg, have made their feelings known that they don't and never have liked ECW, they actually like most of what they put out in the year 2000. This only 2 more shows left after this until Extreme Championship Wrestling is GONE FOREVAH, BRO, there's a lot to talk about in the news & notes about non-payment and bankruptcy. Also, Scott Hall got arrested twice within a 2-week span and didn't make the show. Who could've seen that coming?FOLLOW US ON TWITTER & INSTAGRAM: @MainEvent_MarksFOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK: facebook.com/maineventmarkspodEMAIL US AT: [email protected] FOR US ON YOUTUBE AT: Main Event Marks

  • Episode 26: WCW Starrcade 1990: Collision Course (Sting vs Black Scorpion)
The dark fog of the Black Scorpion and his mysterious identity hovered over Sting for month and are finally coming to a head at the NWA/WCW's biggest show of the year, Starrcade. Also on the show is an international tag-team tournament for the Pat O'Connor Memorial Cup. 14 matches were crammed into this 3 hour show! Hear the Marks (Troy & Greg) break it all down and share news and notes from the time!FOLLOW US ON TWITTER & INSTAGRAM: @MainEvent_MarksFOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK: facebook.com/maineventmarkspodEMAIL US AT: [email protected] FOR US ON YOUTUBE AT: Main Event Marks

  • Episode 25: WWE Survivor Series 2006 (20th Annual Survivor Series)
This one takes co-Mark, Troy, back to his teenage years and reminds the other co-Mark, Greg, of why he became a fan in the first place. However, besides it being the 20th annual Survivor Series, there wasn't anything really groundbreaking on the show. King Booker defended his World Title against Batista in the main event. The Undertaker sought revenge against Mr. Kennedy in a First Blood match. John Cena led a team of Raw and ECW stars into battle against a Big Show led team. 4 legends face off with 4 Spirit Squad members. Also, Team DX shut out Team Rated RKO with one hell of a talent-filled Survivor Series team.FOLLOW US ON TWITTER & INSTAGRAM: @MainEvent_MarksFOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK: facebook.com/maineventmarkspodEMAIL US AT: [email protected] FOR US ON YOUTUBE AT: Main Event Marks

  • BONUS: WWF Survivor Series 1987 (The First One)
It's our November bonus show, and Jacob Grondy is back! They reminisce about their childhoods, video rental stores, their love of classic wrestling, and what organization brought the most heat in the '80s with their product! The main event was a 5-on-5 Survivor Series match where Andre the Giant's team faced off against Hulk Hogan's team! This was their first big meeting after their epic clash at WrestleMania III and before Andre took the title from Hogan on Saturday Night's Main Event! There was also a 5-on-5 women's Survivor Series match and a 10-on-10 Tag-Team Survivor Series match!
