In 2017, Cody Rhodes wasn't in WWE or AEW--he was the reigning, defending Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Champion. On this show, one of the biggest of the ROH calendar year, he defended that title against visiting NJPW talent Minoru Suzuki in the main event. Unfortunately, that was fairly unimpressive. On the bright side, most of the rest of the card was really freakin' good. We see A LOT of the Young Bucks on this night as they defend the Tag Titles as well as attempt to win the Six Man Tag Titles. The now-disgraced "Villain" Marty Scurll faces one of the Best Friends, Chuckie T. KUSHIDA puts the ROH TV Title on the line against Kenny King. The future Damien Priest, Punishment Martinez takes on "Switchblade" Jay White in a Las Vegas Street Fight. Also, "The Last Real Man" Silas Young and Jay Lethal possibly have the match of the night as they face off in a Last Man Standing match. Also, in the news, we discuss the death of a legendary manager, a former WCW and WWE World Champion teasing a return to the ring, updates on Daniel Bryan's attempted journey back to the ring, where Rey Mysterio will end up, a major controversy over the FloSports streaming service, the death of Global Force Wrestling, and much, much more!

Vince Russo may be gone from WWF, but some of his booking philosophy still remains. That's evident here in 2000, which was both a great year and a ridiculously stupid year in Vince McMahon's House of Hunky Men. We have the infamous E&C vs. Dudley Boyz vs. Hardy Boyz TLC match for the WWF Tag Titles on this show, Shane McMahon takes a bump for the highlight reels when he faces Steve Blackman for the Hardcore Title, and The Rock defends the WWF World Title against Triple H and Kurt Angle, who are also feuding over Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley. We also have some pretty awful stuff we'd rather soon forget, like Tazz taking on Jerry "The King" Lawler and JR shattering a candy jar over Tazz's head, a Thong Stink Face match between The Cat and Terri Runnels, and a lackluster DX members fight between Road Dogg and X-Pac. In the news, we discuss Vince Russo's issues in WCW, Hulk Hogan's lawsuits against Russo and WCW, WCW and ECW continuing to tank while the rats are jumping off the sinking ships, the Monday Night Raw battle between USA and TNN continues, a Mexican legend is contemplating running for political office, and much more!

Going all the way back to 2008, we get to see a lot of great stars who never "made it big" outside of ROH as well as some pretty recognizable stars from today's AEW and WWE. This was during Nigel McGuinness's awesome run as ROH World Champion! We also get to see the Briscoe Brothers in action, Kevin Steen & El Generico vs. The Motor City Machine Guns, the Age of the Fall splinters, Sweet & Sour Inc. are getting on everyone's nerves, and much more. In the news, we talk about Stephanie McMahon about to come back as Bruce Prichard is about to get fired, Brock Lesnar saying he regrets ever wrestling in WWE, some TNA stars moving on from the company, Kevin Nash being Kevin Nash, and an incredibly messed up story that got IWA:MS into some serious trouble.

An imposter Undertaker has been running around the WWF for a while as Paul Bearer threatens to bring back THE REAL Undertaker for this Spider-Man pointing meme of a showdown at the 2nd biggest PPV on the WWF's calendar. Bret Hart also defends his WWF World Title against his baby brother, Owen, in one of the greatest cage matches of all time. The thing a lot of people may forget about this show, though, is that "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase is EEEEVERYWHERE on this thing! He's involved in almost every feud, every match, and is a HUGE player in the landscape of WWF at this time. He's got the fake Undertaker. He's buying up superstars for his Million Dollar Corporation. He's got teams going for titles. He's mega integral to Vince McMahon's House of Fun at this time. We discuss all of this craziness, the crappiness of 'Taker vs. 'Taker while still being in awe of it, the awesomeness of the Hart vs. Hart cage match, and everything in between. In the news, we discuss the changing landscape of professional wrestling as a whole as Hulk Hogan is now the WCW Champion, the NWA looking to crown a new World Champion in ECW (SPOILER: This doesn't end well), Vader dominating back in Japan, the Gangstas in Smoky Mountain Wrestling being too hot to touch in many TV markets while also being disavowed by the NAACP, and much more!

WCW went all-in with Bash at the Beach 1998, and it paid off in money but not with show quality. Even matches like Eddie Guerrero vs. Chavo Guerrero and Chris Jericho vs. a returning Rey Mysterio weren't all that great, dragged down by the overall show. Goldberg literally won the WCW World Title from Hollywood Hogan 6 days before this show, in the Georgia Dome, and he put that title on the line against Curt Hennig. That match felt like such an after thought and didn't last long, making Hennig look like a loser. Meanwhile, Hogan was still in the main event slot. He teamed with NBA megastar, Dennis Rodman, to take on Diamond Dallas Page and another NBA megastar, Karl Malone. There was tons of bad blood, controversy, and publicity leading into this one...and it wasn't great. All in all, this show was pretty bad, but WCW was still raking in the cash. So, what did they care?

In the news, we discuss the major shakeups in WCW, WWF's embarrassing Brawl for All, major injuries for big time players in the WWF, the DX parody of the Nation of Domination, Stan Hansen controversies in Japan, big name no-shows, and much more!

This show was definitely the epitome of "the Vince Russo era" of WCW. There were jumpstarts, afterbirths, tournaments, weapons all over the place, no real heels or faces, whacky turns, returns out of nowhere, and Russo himself on camera. Lance Storm was certainly the star of this show, but let's be honest...there are NO STARS in this era of WCW. The new United States Champion is crowned, Scott Steiner and Goldberg collide, 3 Count & the Jung Dragons continue their never ending feud, Jeff Jarrett is hitting people with guitars, clowns and demons are fighting, and the whackiness continues! In the news, we discuss continued fallout from Russo shooting his mouth off about Hulk Hogan at Bash at the Beach, the fallout from XPW "wrestlers" (using that term loosley) showing up at an ECW show in SoCal, ECW continuing to push for a new show after getting dropped by TNN, promotional wars in Japan, Buff Bagwell in legal hot water, the WWF punching back against censorship, and much, much more! This is a long episode, but it's got A LOT of stuff crammed into it!

For the second In Your House event, we're going back to 1995. The main event was a battle for the WWF Title between champion Diesel and challenger Sycho Sid. The ring is surrounded by hand-picked babyfaces for Diesel and the Million Dollar Corporation, paid off by Ted DiBiase. This wasn't the best match of the night, however, as Jeff Jarrett not only did a live performance of "With My Baby Tonight," but also defended his Intercontinental Title against Shawn Michaels. To this day, Jeff Jarrett says this was his greatest match ever. In the news, we talk about the most recent UFC pay-per-view involving Tank Abbott, WCW Bash at the Beach 1995 being a crap show, a change of gimmicks for Fatu and Jean Pierre Lafitte, the debut of a brand new Tiger Mask, and much more!

In 1994, Hulk Hogan made the leap from the WWF to WCW (with a short hiatus in between). We've covered the end of Hogan's WWE career in previous podcasts and now we're touching on the beginning of his WCW career as he FINALLY goes one-on-one with "Nature Boy" Ric Flair for the WCW Title. This match has been talked about for years and years, built up since Flair joined the WWF in late 1991, and it never happened...until now! Also on this card, "Stunning" Steve Austin defends his United States Title against Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat, the (VERY) odd couple of Cactus Jack and Kevin Sullivan defend the WCW Tag Titles against Pretty Wonderful, Dustin Rhodes puts his trust in tag-team partner Arn Anderson as they face Terry Funk and Bunkhouse Buck, Vader faces the newly crowned Guardian Angel, and Lord Steven Regal puts the TV Title on the line against the baaaad man, Johnny B. Badd! In the news, we discuss the ongoing steroid trial between the WWF and US Government, Undertaker vs. Undertaker at SummerSlam being spoiled by early advertisements on pizza boxes, the SMW champion no-showing and causing issues, and much, much more! It's a biiiig show today!

It's ironic that the main event was titled a Stairway to Hell match, because most of ECW was like watching pro wrestling from Hell. It wasn't all bad, though, as we got a decent ECW World Title match between Tommy Dreamer and Justin Credible, a great Four Corners match between Yoshihiro Tajiri, Mikey Whipwreck, Little Guido and Psicosis, Jerry Lynn and Steve Corino had a great match, and we've got a fantastic Six-Man Tag match. Rob Van Dam tries to drag Scotty Anton (the former Scotty Riggs) to a presentable match, Big Sal and Balls Mahoney have a turd, Rhino and Sandman beat each other up over the TV Title, and much more. In the news, we discuss the disastrous fallout of WCW Bash at the Beach 2000, a hellacious injury for Johnny "The Bull" Stamboli, a future WWE star debuting in OVW, the drama between ECW, WWF, and TNN, plus much more!

Get ready to cash in with the Marks! AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura had been feuding over the WWE Title since before WrestleMania 34, and it's culminating now in a Last Man Standing match. Two of the best in the world clash for the third time this year! On top of that, the other competitors in the men's Money in the Bank match look to keep down "The Monster Among Men," "The Goddess" Alexa Bliss looks to win her first Money in the Bank match, Carmella looks to escape this event still the SmackDown Women's Champion as she faces "The Emperess of Tomorrow" Asuka, "The Irresistable Force" Nia Jax puts her WWE Raw Women's Title on the line against "The Baddest Woman on the Planet" Ronda Rousey, and much more! Not every match on this show was a banger. Daniel Bryan looks to carry the weight of Big Cass, Sami Zayn and Bobby Lashley can't seem to make it "click," and Seth Rollins puts the IC Title on the line against Elias in quite a "meh" encounter. In the news, we discuss WWE breaking records with the forthcoming Super Show-Down in Melbourne, Australia, a current AEW talent that at the time was looking to debut in NXT, Jeff Hardy getting into trouble yet again, AAA trying to run a lucha libre show in Madison Square Garden, an upcoming mega indy spectacular on PPV, and much more!
