Shock of all shocks, we're still here! The world didn't end and likely won't. How could the oh-so-wise Mayans have been so wrong? Unless of course they weren't and no one is listening to this program. But, since God is more trustworthy than a bunch of dead astrologers, I expect that the world will go on.

Men everywhere need an example, a role model to use as a benchmark. Even Chuck Norris falls short of the mark. There is another place to look that is very often overlooked. There is someone with a full man-card that doesn't seem to get credit for it.

There is a time when the unthinkable happens. This past Friday, evil visited an elementary school and innocent blood spilled. If ever there was a time for the Lord and His people to rise to the occasion, it is now.

Lots of people try to mix faith in Jesus with other stuff with disastrous results. Of course, that's other people, right? We'd never allow Jesus to be mixed with anything else. We're not a cult or anything like that. We can't be guilty of that, can we?

After commentary on a few very important stories, we'll come to the heart of the matter. Why is this program used to talk about sex, sin, and all sorts of other stuff that we try not to discuss in polite company? Wouldn't it be better not to discuss it? Perhaps there is a purpose to it after all.

When we ask why there's no revival here, perhaps we're not asking the right question. How often have we missed it when God was working to do something in us, for us, or through us? There are consequences.

Every time we read about amazing moves of God from history or around the world, we ask ourselves, "Why not here?" Answers are not always easy. What will it take to come to the place where we have a leader who, like the newly elected president of Uganda, repent of his personal and the national sins and dedicate this nation to God?

The rules have changed and not really for the better. After fifty years of propaganda, can we turn the tide and see not only real men but real women too, each living out their lives in obedience to the Lord.

We talk a lot about the culture war but are we able to win? Perhaps the better question is whether or not we're fighting on the right battlefield. Wherever we fight, there is a right way to fight to achieve victory.

Once again, this election season hope was thrown around a lot. Both sides called upon hope in their campaigns for our votes cheapening the real meaning of the word. It's so much more than a political slogan. There is a time coming when we will need to not only understand the true meaning of hope but walk it out like never before.
