In this episode, Maria speaks to Jordan and the listeners about the life and work of Saloua Raouda Choucair, a Lebanese modernist and revolutionary of Arab Modern Art. Choucair introduced abstraction to her country and created a new art form in her practice, combining elements of Islamic and/or Arab architecture, music, and poetry alongside what she learned from her travels to the West.
