    Brewer From New Helvitia
    https://www.facebook.com/NewHelvetiaBrewingCo/
This month we come with a new approach to the community and have welcomed not only a talented DJ, but also an experienced and well-educated beer enthusiast/brewer for a great conversation and excellent mix.
Please meet our new friend Tooth a.k.a. Trooth from this point forward. He is a local tastemaker who is affiliated with some of the most well-respected events in Sacramento including Lost In Groove and Deep Space Drive-In. Tooth is constantly pushing the boundaries and digging deep looking for unique sounds and creative blends to provide one of a kind mixes to our community. You can expect to hear a wide variety of sounds in this mix from atmospheric tunes, to weird robotic jams alongside a breakbeat here and there. We are feeling duper fortunate to continue to welcome such talented people to share their craft with our listeners. Check out his upcoming events on his Facebook page.
We also got to take a moment to sit down with one of the coolest guys on the block, Juan Carlos. If you have been to any house music events locally, you're probably second in line to the dancefloor behind him. Juan Carlos invited Rich and Myself to New Helvita to discuss the process and his interests in the beer community. It seems that Sacramento is one of the leading national locations for a strong and extremely healthy beer scene and Juan Carlos is one of the many driving forces behind our communities success with award-winning beers.
Have a listen, tell us what you think and thank you for the support!

This month we welcome one of the fastest rising names in the Sacramento scene, the very talented Oshiin. You may have heard him around town, you may have seen him at the Park, This is Midtown last year, you may have banged your head to some of his original releases. Regardless, this is a name hopefully you become more familiar with. challenged with the task to come up with a forward-thinking, less aggressive and a chill listening dubstep mix, Sean comes through with big drums, dark noises, heavy dub and an all around in your head trippy mix. Big ups to the man himself and thank you for the submission!
This months conversation was with the legendary local house music label LTHM boss man, Diego Valle. His label has reached over 100 releases and has been huge support helping to launch some of our hometown heroes into success. He also is part of the driving force behind keeping the Sol Sundays parties at Mango's going strong year after year. He doesn't know this, but the last time Rich, Lu and I went to the BPM festival, we saw him DJing at one of the local bars. This guy is international people :) - On top of all that, He runs a successful weekly podcast that features DJs from all over the globe and he is currently sitting at over 500 episodes.
Show some support to these two, they are both awesome!
    We hope you guys enjoy!

  • Make Friends Radio - Episode 14 Feat. Erin Best & Requiem Ben (April 2019)
Make Friends Radio is a monthly open format music podcast!
    This Month's Guest: Erin Best
    https://soundcloud.com/dj_erin
    Featuring Requiem (Ben)
    https://www.instagram.com/requiemevents/
    https://www.facebook.com/requiemevents/?ref=br_rs
It finally happened, we convinced Erin Best to submit a mix! Erin is a very talented local DJ that for whatever reason does not put herself out there very often. She has a great ear for music and has an eclectic taste for out of the box jams. She pushes the envelope and has even had an influence on me and my sound. Honestly, this mix likely would not have happened if she was not best friends with my fiance so shout outs to Jazmine as well. Super stoked to have her on board and please reach out and book her to break her hermit tendencies and expose Sacramento to some dope beats.
Our conversation this month comes from one of the major contributors to the Sacramento scene, not just musically, but is heavily involved with other elements of our culture. I was fortunate enough to get hooked up with Ben from Requiem through Erin and feel fortunate to have the opportunity. Ben has a can-do attitude that stemmed from being a DJ looking to play parties, to now throwing some of the biggest parties in Sacramento. He and his crew are responsible for bringing some of the dopest local DJs and the biggest international talents through our city. Some of the more recent notable events that they have thrown involve the Banana Sundae s day parties at the Flamingo House, This Midtown Block Parties, Neon Chapel and many many more. Have a listen and get to know our new friend!
Side Note: I am fully aware that I called this the May episode on accident... However, I assure you that we have not time-traveled and as long as you are listening to this within 15 days of it being posted... It is still April.
    We hope you guys enjoy!

We are pleased to welcome Maui's own Andrew Dana to the show this month. Andrew is one of the founding members of the Maui House Collective who are responsible for booking some of the biggest names to touch down on in the islands. At the end of the month, they are hosting an incredible party called Tropical Oasis Retreat featuring Christian Martin, Jimpster, Sunshine Jones, Galen & many many more. On top of that, he manages one of the best bars in all of Maui "The Dirty Monkey." SO please give a warm welcome to our new friend Andrew Dana!

Brian Bassett is a well respected and some might even say legendary local promoter who has been responsible for supporting the Sacramento scene for the last 30+ years. He hosted Pure Tuesdays back when dinosaurs roamed the earth and frequently hosts events with Midnight at the Park Ultralounge. One of my favorite current events that he hosts is Dayhaus at Mix over Major three day weekend. Those shoes have seen acts like Halo Vargas & Colette most recently. We hope you enjoy the Chat with Brian about some Sacramento dance culture history.

  • Make Friends Radio - Episode 9 Feat. Jonathan Francis & Haitham (November 2018)
ich & Chris Make Friends' monthly open format music podcast!
This Month's Guest: Jonathan Francis & Haitham
As some of you may have noticed, we missed a few months of the show. Unfortunately, due to personal family issues, we needed to put it on the back burner. To make it up to everyone we are submitting a double feature.
The first mix is compliments of Pompi aka Jonathan Francis aka Jonathan aka 50% of 241 Techno and so on. He is an inspiration to most DJs with a unique sound and an amazing ear for tunes.
The second mix comes straight from arguably the nicest person you will ever meet. Haitham is not only a shining example of what a good human being should look like, but also an awesome DJ with a creative side we think you will enjoy!
    Mix one: Jonathan Francis
    Mix two: Haitham
