Make Mine a Double Feature

Here's the first MMADF episode we ever said into microphones. It's got a couple Toms traveling abroad to chase ladies and do stuff like build bridges and play baseball. Specifically, we're talking about America's sweetheart Tom Hanks volunteering to be killed by communists in the jungles of 1960s Thailand and America's mustache Tom Selleck driving in runs for a 1990s Japanese baseball club. Pour yourself a quadruple and enjoy!

We're talking Spielberg backwards as Robert tells Ellen about Indiana Jones putting artifacts back where they belong, and Ellen tells Robert about Jurassic Park being repaired for a grand opening.

It must be 1999 because we're afraid of Y2K and don't want no scrubs while we talk Schwarzenegger and Muppets.

We're talking about a couple of British slasher movies--kind of. Ellen tells Robert about a disgruntled stage actor taking out critics in 70s London, and Robert tells Ellen about a nice young couple who move to Scotland just to have a bunch of pig-masked scary guys...do not much and get themselves a little bit killed. We have 20 minutes each, plus the rest of the minutes we need to tell stories of dogs, sex in the woods, trampolines, torches, and faked death this time on Make Mine a Double Feature.

Once upon a time, not so long ago, Robert told Ellen about Ghost, a movie that stars Whoopi Goldberg and Patrick "Definitely Has a Normal-Sized Human Head & Body" Swayze. Then, whoa, we were halfway there, and Ellen followed Patrick Fugit to suicide land to tell the story of the actually good Wristcutters: A Love Story. Join us for drinks and tales of floorboard holes, subway cars, wrists, cuts, love, scumbags, money, and cartoon demons this time on Make Mine a Double Feature.

Jennifer Aniston may have made pretty fun movies like Office Space and Horrible Bosses, but Robert's gonna go ahead and tell Ellen about a bunch of 80s Tiger Beat cover kids eating pantyhose fish in the woods. For her turn, Ellen tells Robert about one ridiculous shenanigan after another in the somehow unnoticed Matt LeBlanc film Lovesick. Soak a marshmallow in rum and toast it because it's all campfires, Tuscany, sweaters, and voyeurism this time on Make Mine a Double Feature.

Our hearts will go yawn, but we’ll still get some laughs as we talk about boring romantic movies. Ellen tells Robert about a long Anne Hathaway music video called Song One, and Robert tell Ellen about a supposed movie featuring sexless Aussies called Lust for Love. We’re taking turns, telling only little parts of the stories at a time, so both movies build toward un-incredible, anti-climactic final scenes. Pour some whiskey and join us for a coma, an owl, several montages, probably a train, and at least one song this time on Make Mine a Double Feature.
