I didn’t used to know anything about LinkedIn. I had an account, but I never used it. It did nothing for me.
Two and a half years ago, after selling my first company, I started a B2B book publishing company, and I had no idea how to find people that would pay me the high-ticket price that I was charging for my services. Literally no idea.
I tried everything. FB ads, Google ads, networking, cold-outreach, etc…
I got a client here, a client there, but I had no system.
Money was flowing out not in. I started to really dislike my new company.
So I got a job.
As fate would have it, I started working as a phone sales guy for a LinkedIn trainer. My job was to speak to people on the phone, and sell them LinkedIn coaching.
In this role, I got to speak with hundreds of small business owners that were struggling to get clients, and who wanted a “crack the code of LinkedIn”.
What I realized was that, everyone was doing LinkedIn the wrong way!!!
They were making it WAY more complicated than it needs to be. (LinkedIn is not complicated).
AND… the so-called experts weren’t much help. All they said to do was to just “message people, book “calls”, repeat.” (not very helpful).
I figured out that the key to LinkedIn was not to chase clients, but to get them to come to you.
Long story short… I quit my phone sales job, and decided to use what I knew about attraction marketing and funnel building to develop a lead generation system on LinkedIn that would do just that – cause clients to come to me!
The stakes were high because I didn’t want to go back to the 9-5, I wanted to get my publishing company off the ground.
Then… I signed one client, and another…
I had figured out the formula for the perfect LinkedIn client attraction funnel. I was attracting dream high-value clients into my publishing company month after month.
I started telling others what I had done, and before I knew it, people were asking me to coach them – they wanted to learn my system.
And now… after coaching many people, I have turned it into a course.
