For this episode we get a little personal. We discuss our stories and experiences with mental health. The ways in which we manage, deal, and have gone through anxiety, depression, stress, panic attacks, and more.

Through our stories we hope to emphasize the significance of asking for help, seeking therapy, and exploring medical interventions when necessary. 

We have both been challenged throughout our life with all of these things, and we hope by being vulnerable we can reach others who feel the same.

• Coping skills and medication can go hand in hand: While medication can play a role in treating mental health issues, it's not a cure-all. Combining it with coping skills, wellness approaches, and mindfulness can lead to a more holistic approach to your mental well-being.
• Don't hesitate to ask for help: It's okay to ask for help, even when it feels difficult. You don't have to carry the weight of your struggles alone. Reach out to friends, family, or professionals who can provide support and guidance.

This week on Podcast With Purpose, Allison shares her story and  journey to finding happiness in her career. After initially earning a business degree, she tried various business jobs and eventually went back to school to become a teacher where she remained for the next 18 years. 

Throughout those years, Allison was always wondering if there was something else out there that made her happier. She left the classroom twice to do various ventures, but always returned to the classroom for lack of finding a better path.

The pandemic worsened her experience as a teacher, so after many searches, she pursued the idea of freelancing and discovered podcast management...which she found  to be her calling.
