Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has finally locked in a formal face-to-face meeting with the US President for next month.

The Prime Minister has been under pressure to secure assurances from the White House on trade and security, as a Pentagon review of the AUKUS deal continues.

This week also saw a rare foreign policy intervention from the opposition on the recognition of Palestinian statehood.
