The state holds the unfortunate title of having the highest rates of type 2 diabetes and heart disease in the nation. Worrell's proposed Make West Virginia Healthy Again initiative seeks to restructure existing health offices to enhance collaboration across various departments. This initiative aims to promote nutrition education and encourage farm-to-table practices in schools, leveraging local producers to improve food quality.
