I was working with a friend, helping to sell her house. I saw a whole other side of my friend, one that I’m convinced came from the emotional side of selling her house.
In an earlier episode, I talked about the emotions people often experience as they’re getting ready to sell a house.
In this show, we’re preparing you for the emotional side of selling your house once someone offers to buy it.

House Sale Preparation
In the real estate world, agents sometimes refer to the buying or selling of a home a transaction.
But to the person selling the home, the sale is so much more than a business transaction. It’s an emotional experience.
How do you prepare yourself for that emotional experience? That’s what we’ll talk about in this episode.
Most of us don't have the cash to buy a house.
The good news is there are a lot of banks and other lenders that would love to give you money to buy a house. The money they give you is called a mortgage.
Before a lender will give you a mortgage, they will evaluate 3 things first.
(1) Are you the kind of person who pays their bills
(2) Do you make enough money to pay a mortgage plus the other debt you owe
(3) If you can’t or don’t pay your mortgage payments, can we sell the house to get our money back
Find out more about what's involved with getting a mortgage in this episode.
Do you want to know how much money you have to come out of pocket to buy a home? Or put another way, do you want to know how much money you have to save to buy a house?

In the last episode, I mentioned that if you want to get a good house in Georgia, you need to move fast! Especially at the time of this recording when there are more people needing to buy houses than are willing to sell them.
"But don’t worry," I said. "You’ve got a due diligence period in Georgia," I said.
So what is a due diligence period? Why does it help you feel more confident putting an offer in on a house?
That’s the topic for this episode.
Whether you’re buying your first home or buying a home after living 2 or 3 decades in a home, the home buying process can be daunting.
Luckily we have TV shows to tell us exactly what it’s like!
Or do we????
