This week Jacob is MIA and I had to pull in the “B” team and very thankful that I have a “B” team. He’s a great guy, brilliant maker, podcaster, and all around good champion of the maker community, Vincent Ferrari. This week we meet Kit Cl3ver from Skill Tree. He is a self-proclaimed collector of skills and he does just about everything you can think about trying. I am pretty sure he has the best story about meeting his wife. You will also hear about his brush with fire and nail polish remover, he is ok, but the conversation is hilarious.

In this episode we talk to new YouTuber Brett Ratner who is brand new to the maker space and is very eager to learn and have fun. We will be following Brett's progress and check back with him from time to time to see where he is, how his process has changed and how his channel has grown over time. Show Brett some maker love and give him a follow and check out his videos as he grows as a content creator.
The week we get jiggy wit it with Rob the "Jig Master" from Make Things. Where does he get his ideas? Why does he make jigs? What goes into the process of figuring out when to use a jig and what exactly is a Jig (hint - In this context it is not a little dance)
We have hit a crossroad in our podcasting career, and it’s time for a change. Jacob and I both agree that we needed directionality in our podcast and this is where we landed. In this first episode of our new podcast “Makers, Figuring it out…” we give you a look at our thought process and how we ended up where we are now. You will hear our unedited, minus a few beeps, thanks Jacob, conversation on where we want to focus the podcast, who we want as a target audience but not exclude our loyal listeners, what is the format for the show, and finally and most importantly how we came up with the name of the podcast. You will also hear some of the other names we spitballed around before landing on a name we both liked. The re-branding also will also bring Jacob a sense of ownership of the podcast, as opposed to feeling like he is just the co-host, he is now a full partner in this podcast and his opinion, thoughts, and ideas will count equally between us both. So, come along with us as we venture into a new realm of podcast making history. Thanks for being my partner in this endeavor Jacob, you’re a pretty cool dude.
On this episode we meet and talk with @MorleyKert. We get to know our neighbor to the north and find out why he got into this crazy and wonderful community.
