    Mini Moment Announcement:
    Makgeolli Moments is recorded months in advance. This Moment (34) was recorded on February 25, 2020, when Korea, one of the first heavily hit countries in the world, faced the beginning stages of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). This moment was recorded prior to worldwide infections and lockdowns. We did not realize, yet, how lives would be impacted.

    We made a careless "bet" in this Moment. We understand that our bet can be misunderstood and hurtful. Our intentions were not to bet the lives of people affected by the pandemic. Our intentions were betting on the impact of the pandemic, which we underestimated figuratively and literally. We regret thoughtlessly using lives as the measurement for our bet. We casually made bets on the upcoming pandemic because we did not believe it would grow to become what we know it to be now, as evident by our optimistic estimates. Regardless of intentions, we understand that a bet like this can be hurtful and we apologize for our careless and reckless action.

    Our mission statement is: "Just good people bonding over food and drinks."

    We hope that we can continue to spread positive good vibes and connect people. Thank you for your understanding and constant love and care.

    This time period was... "interesting..."  A lot and new information was being released from the press, our medical experts, and leaders daily. Our understanding of the situation was constantly growing and changing by the day (this is not considering if the released information was correct). We apologize and ask for your understanding in our "ignorance," "lightness," and more often than not, our misplaced humor because not only us, but the world at the time, did not fully understand what we were about to face and its impact. We do not intend to minimize the lives of millions worldwide affected by the pandemic. 


    We will not edit or delete our Moments related to COVID-19 because these Moments "document" our lives, thoughts, feelings, experience, and growth over time.  Our lives and experiences are a reflection of many and deleting our Moments would also be deleting a documentation of lives worldwide and an event that put the world at a standstill.  We hope that you can continue to join us with an understanding heart. We are thankful to be able to share our experiences with you.


    We know you, our Mommaes, have always been very open-minded and understanding of us and we love and appreciate you for that. We are grateful to have built this warm community with you.  We are grateful to be able to just bond and join you on your daily day dos. Thank you for your continued love and care~
