  • Celebrating the small things, with Christine

In this episode I share some of my thoughts around finding moments to celebrate everyday, instead of waiting for the big ones to come around.

I also mention a really exciting event I've been working on with a few local ladies here in the Waterloo Region, called the BLOOM Event! If you want to check it out you can follow along on Instagram @letsbloomkw or visit the website thebloomevent.com to learn more!

    Thanks for being here! xoxo

  • The Journey of healing and personal discovery with Candice Allen

You are going to love ths conversation with Candice Allen. Not only does her energy lift you up, but this conversation will light up parts of you from the inside.

Together we discuss how our journeys have not been linear, despite what we have been taught to expect for ourselves. We dive into the shifts we have made to lean into self love, and acceptance of what is, while creating lives that allow us to colour outside the lines that have been taught to live by.

This conversation will inspire you, and help you see that the path you're on is exactly right for you, and when you feel something in you, even when you don't know what the outcome will be, it's important to trust because its YOU who is asking for something different.

  • Finding Joy through Trust- a collaborative episode with Laura Lorentz of the Empowered Essence Podcast

I'm sharing this episode recorded for the Empowered Essence Podcast with the lovely Laura Lorentz.

In this discussion, we talk about leaning into trust, listening to your intuition as it guides us to next steps, versus the age-old concept of taking pre-meditated or planned out steps to get to a goal.

We chat about flipping the script upside down as we trust what's in us, and reflect on what happens when we don't listen to what our intuition is telling us - you know, what happens when we ignore what we feel.

You can find more about Laura through her Instagram handle @lauralorentzcoaching or listen to more of her podcast episodes on her show, Empowered Essence.

  • From Celiac diagnosis to hosting Gluten Free Community Food Events, with Sara Hignell

Food intolerances are on the rise, with celiac disease and autoimmune diseases becoming a topic of discussion at many dinner tables. Sara Hignell sat down with me to talk about her now 20 years of experience with celiac, and how she is helping other gluten-free people enjoy the foods they love in a way that leaves them feeling good.

Have a listen as Sara shares some of what she went through to be diagnosed, and how she began, and continues, to lead others to finding great gluten free alternatives to enjoy in and around the Waterloo Region.

Sara and her partner Liz of the Gluten Free Collective are hosting the Gluten Free Fest on Sunday, Sept 17 at Bingemans.

You can find out more about the event by visiting the glutenfreefest.ca, and learn more about Sara's mission to help as many gluten-free people find great local gluten free food by following along on Instagram and Facebook at the @theglutenfreecollective

Sara mentions in the interview that blood testing for celiac is now covered by OHIP, so if you believe you may be celiac, the test is available for no cost to you in Ontario through your doctor. Other helpful food intolerance resources include naturopaths and nutritionists who can not only help you with diagnosing your food conditions, but help you manage them with consumption suggestions and supportive nutrition and other alternative modalities.

  • Let your knees shake - Where fear meets courage. A solo episode with me Christine D

You'll hear me say time and time again that the only way we make it past our fear is to lean into courage. If we shy away from what we are afraid of, we will stay where exactly where we are. There is nobody outside of us that can do the hard things for us - WE are the only ones who can take the leap.

I know first hand how hard it is to stand with your knees shaking, almost buckling underneath you as you take that step. The mind doing somersaults and spinning out of control, full of doubt and all the reasons you can't do it as you move forward into the unknown.

But you can. I know you can because I've done it so many times. And each time I push myself out of my comfort zone, I grow and prove to myself I can do hard things. I grow my confidence and realize more and more each day how much my mindset and action patterns matter.

And I'm here to share my experiences in the hopes of inspiring you to go after what scares you too.

While I share about that fear, I also speak to why I'm celebrating this 26th episode, and why I celebrate often. Have a listen and put a bounce in your step today.

  • Navigating life in the inbetween & reconnecting with self while discovering life’s next steps, with Mandy Kuelz

I loved this conversation with Mandy, as we chatted about her experience in the mucky middle - her perspective as she finds her way through the change she feels coming, but can't quite put her finger on yet.

What comes through a lot in this conversation is the striking difference in how many of us were taught to navigate change, or rather seemingly expected to figure it out and move along, instead of realigning with what feels right for us - often doing what we feel others would like to see us do and making decisions based on the thoughts and opinions of others (or society) instead of following the guide within us - the guide that is often under nourished and out of practice.

If you're in a place of change, and find yourself feeling the need to rush yourself or explain yourself to those around you, you will really benefit from the messages in this episode.

Mandy is a psychic channel & intuitive mentor, who helps to light the path for others through her leadership. You can follow Mandy on Instagram at @_greenmandy or join her private Facebook Group 'Mandy Kuelz Psychic Channel & Intuitive Mentor'.

  • Unconventional Intervention, with Peter Aitchison

Disclaimer: This episode is for entertainment purposes only and should not be considered as advice. This is a platform provided for people to share their stories, and this is Peter's story.

When Peter was 27 he was diagnosed with type 2 bi-polar disorder, and a lot of his past behaviours started to add up. He took his doctors advice and began traditional treatment methods. For a time they provided a new perspective which was helpful. Almost a decade later, the treatment was not serving him. He was depressed, an alcoholic and felt hopelessly a victim to his diagnosis.

Peter started to hear positive things about "Magic Mushrooms" to treat his treatment-resistant depression. He went off his meds and decided that when he got depressed (when, not if), he would try Mushrooms. Since then he has developed a protocol for himself that he follows, and the results, Peter shares, have changed his life for the better.

Peter has not only lost a significant amount of weight, quit smoking, and quit drinking, but also improved his marriage, chose the right relationships to keep in his life, and let go of the ones that weren't serving him, and ultimately found his purpose.

You can find Peter through his website www.tuliptown.ca and on Instagram at @fthegup

  • Humour & Healing as a Brain Tumour Survivor & recent MS Diagnosis in mid-life

Vicky Mackinnon shares her story about her discovery and recovery as a brain tumour survivor, and her more recent MS diagnosis. She has stepped into the boldly unknown on more than one occasion while facing some pretty serious health scares.

What stands out about Vicky is her unrelentless humour and positive attitude in the face of some incredibly difficult hurdles. She reminds us to look for the good, and to do our best to live for today with a positive outlook. That feeling sorry for ourselves will only make things worse, but living for each day seeking the good allows for a much better outlook and increases our quality of life.

Vicky is a private person, and didn't provide anywhere to follow her journey, but I do think her story will reach you in a way only Vicky can.
