R&B/Country Singer, Songwriter, Artist… and "My Name is Lamont Van Hook"

Growing up in Oakland, CA, Lamont was surrounded by music and musicians from a young age. He received his early training in his family church and began performing professionally as a drummer in a local R&B top 40 band at just 14 years old. Lamont's musical talents were further developed at Howard University in Washington, D.C., where he recorded two albums with the Howard University Jazz Ensemble and was selected as Student of the Year (Jazz Studies) during his Junior year. After graduating from Howard, Lamont settled in Los Angeles where he continued to develop his skills, performing and recording with the likes of Rod Stewart, Sting, Phil Collins, Diana Ross and more.

Now, he has committed to his solo career as a country music artist, releasing his first country single "Something New" in the spring of 2020. Lamont's debut project, "My Name is Lamont Van Hook," (released 2024) features 8 self-penned tracks, 1 co-write, and 2 covers, including the country classic "Wichita Lineman." Lamont's unique musical style combines his love of Country, R&B, Pop, and Gospel, creating his own lane within the genre of country music.

Continuing to "Hold On" and Be True to Yourself with Carnie Wilson

Carnie Wilson was born in Los Angeles, the daughter of Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys and singer Marilyn Rovell of The Honeys. She co- founded the iconic pop music trio Wilson Phillips with her younger sister Wendy, and childhood friend Chynna Phillips when they were in their teens. They released two hit albums, Wilson Phillips and Shadows and Light, which sold twelve million copies and charted three #1 singles and six Top 20 hits before disbanding in 1993.

Carnie & Wendy continued recording both as solo artists and featured guests with notable artists including Elton John, James Ingram, Stephen Bishop, Billy Idol, Robert Palmer and their dad Brian Wilson before reuniting with Wilson Phillips in 2004. Carnie has appeared on Entertainment Tonight, Chopped "All Stars: Celebrities", Sabrina the Teenage Witch, VH1's Celebrity Fit Club, The Newlywed Game, Celebrity Wife Swap, The Apprentice, The Talk, Bridesmaids and most recently The Masked Singer. Living in the "Here and Now" with Cookbook Author/Singer/Songwriter Terry Steele

Terry Steele is a Two-Time Grammy Nominee and Two-Time ASCAP Award Winning Songwriter who has toured internationally as a recording artist touching the hearts and souls of millions of people around the world! As a hit songwriter, Terry has collaborated with megastar artists including Whitney Houston, Dionne Warwick, Starship, Hiroshima, Patti Labelle, Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, The Spinners, Barry White, The Pointer Sisters, Arif Mardin, Natalie Cole, George Duke, and saxophonist Richard Elliott.

Founded in 1968 in Oakland California, Tower of Power has been gracing center stage for more than 50 years, and these three founding members freely share what the journey of fame and brotherhood has been like for each of them.

In the first half of the interview, you'll hear enriching stories about their connection to one another as the group's leader, Emilio Castillo, comments on why Tower of Power is so special, what sets them apart, and why they have lasted for so long. Through addictions and egos being expunged, Tower of Power has made it through some of their hardest trials because they believed in their gifts, and each other. Founding drummer David Garibaldi had a life-altering accident, but fought past the pain to get back to playing with his bandmates -- his brothers. Discussing the Legendary Tony Bennett with His Son, Engineer/Producer Dae Bennett

Dae Bennett was born in the Bronx and raised in northern New Jersey. Being the son of singer Tony Bennett, he was exposed to music and the entertainment industry from an early age. Learning to play drums at age 9 during the British invasion, he became a working musician while still in high school. Dae joined Quacky Duck, an eclectic rock band that became an early 70's fixture in the east coast club scene. The band was signed to Warner Bros. Records when Dae was 17, and he spent his 18th birthday in the studio working on the group's album. In his late 20's he built his first professional studio where countless hits were recorded during those early days of Rap and Hip Hop… from artists such as Rob Base, Naughty by Nature, Salt n Peppa, and producer Teddy Riley with Guy and Wreckx-n-Effect. Dae has worked with artists including Lady Gaga, CC Winans, Diana Krall, Amy Winehouse, Esperanza Spaulding, Josh Groban, Olivia Newton John and John Travolta, Trey Anastasio, Naughty by Nature, Wynton Marsalis, Regina Bell, Benny Goodman, The Bacon Brothers, Petula Clark and Tony Bennett. Sharing Lives in Music with Singer/Violinist Calabria Foti and Trombonist Bob McChesney

Bob McChesney is an internationally recognized trombone soloist, renowned for his harmonic mastery, emotional delivery, and lightning-fast technique. As a solo artist, McChesney has released two acclaimed CDs: an album of songs composed by the legendary entertainer, Steve Allen, called "No Laughing Matter – The Bob McChesney Quartet plays the Music of Steve Allen", and "Chez Sez" an album of re-imagined standards and McChesney's own compositions with jazz organist, Larry Goldings. Bob has been featured on several Grammy-winning CDs and has scored hundreds of television shows and motion pictures.

He also holds the singular honor of having performed the virtuosic cornet piece, "The Carnival of Venice" with The Idaho Falls Symphony. Calabria Foti was born into a family of musicians and music educators, and at 12 years old, she began performing and writing songs. In addition to possessing a beautiful voice, she plays jazz guitar, electric bass, and is a trained violinist, having held Concertmaster positions in several symphony orchestras.

She's played on numerous film/TV scores, created the solo violin sound for TV's "Lisa Simpson", has recorded CDs with Barbra Streisand, Paul McCartney, Daft Punk, and countless others throughout her career. A Marketing Master Class from Author/Former CBS VP and Creative Director Paul Friedman

Every once in a while, a novel comes along that sets out to defy its readers' expectations and tell a story so true to life, it's difficult to believe it's actually a work of fiction. Paul also headed up On-Air Campaigns for The Grammys, ACM Awards, Kennedy Center Honors, Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, plus numerous other specials, dramas and comedies.
