Last year, I gained 20 pounds. This year? The scale hasn’t budged despite all the effort, including giving up refined sugar for an entire month. It's frustrating, and I’m not going to sugarcoat that (pun intended). But instead of letting the frustration win, I’ve been shifting my perspective and looking for the wins that don’t show up on the scale. In this episode, I’m sharing my own story and a client’s story of hitting a plateau and refusing to give up. You’ll hear why maintenance can be a win, how care beats shame every time, and why the stories we tell ourselves are the fuel that keeps us going. If you’ve ever wanted to quit when the scale won’t move, this episode is your reminder: you’re not alone, you’re not failing, and your persistence is worth more than the number.
In this final part of the series, I’m talking about what it means to feel free in your body, especially when diet culture and fatphobia have made that feel impossible. I’ll share how this work helped me stop comparing myself to other women, what shifted the day I wore a swimsuit in public for the first time as a mom, and a moment with my daughter in the grocery store that still sticks with me. If you’ve ever wondered whether this kind of freedom is possible for you, I want you to know: it doesn’t start after you've lost the weight. It starts the moment you stop fighting yourself.
If you’ve ever felt like you should know what to do around food but still end up overeating, you’re in good company. In part two of this three-part series, we’re delving into what it truly means to rebuild self-trust after years of strict food rules, disregarding hunger cues, and feeling disconnected from your body. We'll explore why trust feels so out of reach (especially after decades of dieting), what self-trust actually looks like in everyday life, and how to start building it gently through small, consistent promises to yourself. This episode is full of stories, practical insights, and compassionate reminders to help you stop outsourcing your power and start coming home to yourself.
Struggling to “just stop” overeating? It’s not a lack of willpower. In this first episode of a powerful 3-part series, we break down what the overeating cycle looks like, why it keeps repeating, and what truly disrupts it. You’ll hear real client stories, learn how to recognize emotional, physical, and mental triggers, and explore tools that help you pause, get curious, and make conscious, self-honoring choices without shame or restriction. Peace with food isn’t about more control. It’s about clarity, compassion, and coming back home to yourself. If you’re ready to shift from autopilot to awareness and start reclaiming your power around food, this episode is for you.
If you’ve been carrying the invisible weight of overeating, self-doubt, and feeling disconnected from your body, this episode is for you. We're not talking about another plan or fix from the outside; we're shifting the lens entirely.
In this conversation, I’m inviting you to look inward. To explore what it means to break the cycles, rebuild self-trust, and feel truly free in your body, from the inside out. Because the struggle doesn’t just show up at mealtime, it affects how you move through your day, how you feel about yourself, and how you live your life.
By the end of this episode, I hope you feel lighter, more empowered, and more in charge than when you pressed play.
In this episode, I’m opening up about something I see more and more in my coaching: the gap between losing weight and feeling at peace with food and your body. These new weight loss tools are changing lives—and I think that’s amazing. But they don’t fix everything. If you’re still struggling with cravings, emotional eating, body image, or that nagging fear that the weight will come back... you’re not alone. I’ll share what these tools don’t address, and what you can do to feel truly confident and grounded, no matter where you are in your journey. Because peace isn’t just about the number on the scale... and you deserve the whole picture.
In this episode of Fat2Fierce: The Confidence Chronicles, I’m walking you through the pause, step by step. This isn’t about willpower or rules—it’s about reconnecting with yourself in the moment a craving strikes.
Whether you’re stress eating, snacking out of habit, or feeling like food has all the power, this practice helps you check in instead of checking out. You’ll learn how to interrupt autopilot eating with simple, grounded steps, shift from shame to curiosity around cravings, and build self-trust—one pause at a time.
This is the tool that changed everything for me, and it’s one you can return to again and again.
Summer vacations, BBQs, and ice cream don’t have to derail your relationship with food. In this episode, I’m breaking down 5 practical (and yes, sometimes tedious!) steps to help you stay mindful and connected with your body—whether you’re at a cookout, on a road trip, or just navigating a busy season. We’ll talk about mindful and intuitive eating, how to notice your hunger cues, why plating your food matters, and how to make powerful choices without guilt or restriction. This is your summer survival guide to eating with awareness, satisfaction, and self-trust.
Ever find yourself in front of the fridge or drive-thru without even knowing why? In this episode, I introduce my brand-new free guide: The Emotional Eating Trigger Decoder. I’ll walk you through exactly how to use it, why it works, and how it helped me shift from decades of emotional eating to becoming someone who eats with intention and ease. If food has ever felt like it’s in the driver’s seat of your life, this one’s for you. Grab your guide at amyenglishcc.com and follow along with this episode—you’ll learn how to identify your emotional triggers, practice the pause, and make empowered choices (without guilt, shame, or rigid rules).
We’ve been told confidence comes from the outside—how we look, how we’re perceived, how “put together” we seem. But what if it runs deeper than that? In this episode of Fat2Fierce®: The Confidence Chronicles, we’re redefining confidence from the inside out. I’m sharing two deeply personal stories that taught me what real, rooted confidence feels like—the kind that doesn’t need applause. The kind that’s quiet, steady, and unshakable. The kind that whispers, “I trust myself,” even when the mirror tells a different story. We’ll talk about the difference between surface-level confidence and the grounded kind, how to spot the line between confidence and arrogance, the link between confidence and empowerment, and a simple but powerful mantra to return to when self-doubt creeps in. If you’ve ever waited to feel “ready” before showing up as yourself, this episode will shift something. It’s time to stop chasing confidence—and start reclaiming it from within.
