Welcome to Episode 3 of the Week in Malarkey as the guys break down the crazy week in politics, snark style.

Energy prices were started off the week as everyone is feeling the effects at the pump. Why can't the US go back to drilling and become energy independent? Because that isn't part of the plan.

#MayorPete has the solution (and we have the audio) just drive an EV! The government is spending billions for charging stations every where (don't worry about how that energy is made) so you can spends thousands on a new EV to save hundreds in gas expenses. Makes perfect sense.

By mid-week the outrage machine was in full force over Florida's bill to stop teachers from teaching preK-3rd graders about sexual orientation. Governor Ron DeSantis went on the attack after the grew tired of answering false narrative questions from the press and the guys react to his take down of a unaware reporter.

More questions about energy policy was Thursday daily snark. When you rely on Greta and 9 year olds to help make climate policy, there is a good chance a guy like Putin will try to take advantage. Europe is starting to figure out the deal they made with Greta means they are now left with dealing with Putin. Not. Good.

The guys close out the week by looking at woke capitalism as Disney caves to the outrage mob over the Florida bill. They took a while to stop doing business in and with Russia, but the woke mob had them denouncing the bill (they probably didn't read) in a manner of hours.

Sorry Stacy Abrams, you ended up on the cutting room floor this week, but maybe you can break into the line up next week with your "I didn't lose" Malarkey.

The Daily Malarkey--famous for their daily snark in your email--now has a podcast. The guys from the Daily Malarkey take a look back at the week in snark as they discuss the weekly topics. From Monday, Justin Trudeau is trying to bring a social credit system to Canada. Is America next? The guys try to figure out what the end game is for the word salad when truckers become public enemy #1.

Tuesday's Daily Malarkey was all about emoji's. NPR says if you've been using your Simpson's like yellow thumbs up, you might be a racist. No seriously. Forget NPR using the same emoji last summer, it's now YOU that doesn't understand your white privilege when you send your friend a Homer sized thumbs up.

Wednesday was mom jean's. Bad Idea Jeans. Horrible decision by Levi's Jeans. Jennifer Sey is a former Levi's executive that quit her lucrative job and fast track chance to become CEO at the company because why? Because she dared speak out about school's being closed during the COVID pandemic. And the mob came and got her. Even though she supported Elizabeth Warren's run for the Presidency, it doesn't matter. Get out of line and the mob comes for everyone no matter what.

Thursday was Ukraine and Russia. And why the policy of not being energy dependent is putting the US and Europe in a tough bind when it comes to Putin and the invasion. So much to unpack here.

Friday ended the week with a salute to teachers and unions and talk show people all wanting to make sure THEY are teaching your kids. YOU don't need to have a say at all. Christopher Rufo was a big topic of conversation on John Oliver's HBO show and it didn't go well. Joy Behar still wants to keep her masks on no matter what and the guys say the left has their own version of the red "MAGA" hat. Unfortunately they can force you to wear their team colors when they keep mask mandates in place.

Finally we get to all the things that didn't make the Daily Malarkey emails this week and look ahead to what could be coming in the coming weeks (hint does Mayor Pete have the knives out for VP Harris?)
