Objective:
We can & will start the school year on a SOLID FOUNDATION Bible Verse: LUKE 6:46-49 || Word of the Week: Torrent
Let’s make this Professional Development … G R E A T by starting off with our Life Fruit Pledge. Repeat & Join in with me:
I’m victorious in teaching especially at this time | I’m powerful beyond measure if I let my true light shine | Speak life bear fruit, my learning is lifelong
Speak life bear fruit, My spirit and soul are STRONG! So strong!
2 Men, 2 Foundations,
Flood occurred, the torrent burst against the house
On rock (comes to me, hears my words, acts on them)/ on the ground (heard, has not acted accordingly)
Couldn’t shake it ; well built
Immediately it collapsed ; great ruin
Torrent: a strong and fast-moving stream of water or other liquid:
Similar: flood, deluge, inundation, spate, cascade, rush, stream, current, gushing, Flow, overflow, Tide , fountain, downpour, rainstorm, rain, shower
Opposite: Trickle, drop
When we back track, Is your school year on solid foundation?
No matter how great a teacher you are as a person, the torrent will come.
Are you finna be shaken or not?
We are nothing within our foundation to stand on. Similar to how teachers yearn for parents to send their sons and daughters to school with the foundations of respect for others, following directions, kindness, basic manners
Upper elementary expects all 3-5th grade students to have a solid foundation of phonics and basic adding and subtraction application
Middle school expects all 6th-8th grade students to be able to comprehend after reading 3 paragraphs, basic multiplication and division, and how to write a 5 paragraph essay with proper grammar/punctuation.
If We are Listening, then we are expected to ACT accordingly
