  • Episode 15: Azad Naficy
Do you know Azad Naficy, formerly known as Azad Right, and currently known as just, Azad? Well, before we introduce him, let us give u a brief history lesson from the Mama We Made It™ perspective. The music industry is one of the most difficult industries to break into. For artists, it's a battle of finding your creative vision, trusting your instincts on how you see and process the world, and most importantly how you package all of those senses into song. The pressures are tremendous, the conditions are atrocious, but that's why so few make it. On the other hand, to make it as an executive, more importantly one that actually knows what the f*ck they're doing outside of connecting dots and "networking," you all know that guy/girl, you need grit, passion, undying love and knowledge of music, and most importantly, have the sensibility to rally executives and artists alike around ideas and concepts to ensure success. The ones that last, both artist and executive, are the ones that truly dedicate every waking moment of their beings to becoming the best they can possibly be at their craft, and maintaining a level of character that they can live with when looking at their very own reflection in the mirror. The person that believes himself when he says whatever he/she would say to a person of influence, but believe it not for the other persons reaction, rather, would believe their own reflection speaking to them. Azad Naficy is an artist who has found a stride as an executive that many can only dream of. One of the greatest young ears in the music game, when considering developing and seeking out talent, as well as crafting a lane for his artistry with years of experience behind him. This is one of the most compelling stories we've had to date. From an artist turned executive, who's willing to pursue both of his dreams with the same passion, emphasis, and execution. Believe us when we tell you, this man doesn't sleep. Because he's one of he few that's willing to die, literally, for his dreams. Join us as we share with you the story of Azad, the human being.

  • Episode 14: William "J.Dubb" Smith
Behind every smile, there's a story and there are very few people in this world with a smile as big, and a story as powerful as William "J.Dubb" Smith. In life, the accumulation of our experiences truly make us who we are and lead us in the direction of who we will ultimately become, which couldn't be more true in J.Dubbs case. So many people know Dubb for his personality, work ethic, and his seemingly endless pursuit of greatness, regardless of the medium. Very few people know the intimate account of how the man became the myth, known as "Lifestyle." Join us as we take you through the depths of his childhood and the journey of his career. Very few have accomplished what he has, just as very few have had such a profound impact on the lives of those around them. It is with great honor that we bring you the story of one of Noushy's most influential mentors, we repeat WILLIAM "J.DUBB" SMITH.

  • Episode 13: Ely Alexander

  • Episode 11: David Dann
Take a moment and conceptualize the brilliance and purity behind the notion of a "mind of a genius." What is it that comes to mind? (insert your thought here). Now that we've made it interactive, let us tell you our perspective from our 2 hours with David Dann, the mind behind Mind Of A Genius Records. Ready? Good. Here we go. The mind of a genius is a blank slate, curious enough to wonder, bold enough to question, and ultimately vulnerable enough to become. The journey is about becoming. Genius' are crazy enough to believe they can. Insert David Dann. The little engine that could, and would. The kid who loved music ever since he was a kid. Why? Because it affected him and made an impact. It was an escape. The escape became a desire to create. The desire became an unrelenting belief in the possibility of turning dreams into reality and ultimately an obsession with understanding that he had to hold himself accountable for making them come to life, as opposed to just waking up "inspired by the thought of them." His love for music led him to create, his ability to create led him to curate. A dream (continuing) to come true. It is now where we digress, let the podcast take you through the rest.
