Ava and Najee don’t love conflict but they do love managing conflict in healthy ways. In this episode the co-hosts reflect on early childhood experiences that shaped their current styles of conflict management. They share what they’ve learned from instances of unhealthy and healthy ways of handling conflict and can confirm that getting called out in a House Party family chat, and being on the receiving end of a multi-year grudge-list AREN’T IT. Rather, Ava prefers to lead with honesty and Najee prefers to lead with love. Both options sound pretty good to us. At the end of the day, it’s important to recognize that as much as you may try to avoid conflict, it’s inevitable and it’s a disservice to yourself and others to not address it. Use your voice, speak your truth, and bring honesty and love to your interpersonal relationships. When your heart is in the right place you can’t lose.
