大家现在学的中文,也就是汉语,应该都是说的普通话。

dà jiā|xiàn zài|xué|de|zhōng wén,yě|jiù shì|hàn yǔ,yīng gāi|dōu|shì|shuō|de|pǔ tōng huà。

The Chinese you are learning now, that is, Mandarin, should all be Putonghua.

其实中国非常大,有很多方言,各个城市之间的方言甚至都听不懂。

qí shí|zhōng guó|fēi cháng|dà,yǒu|hěn duō|fāng yán,gè gè|chéng shì|zhī jiān|de|fāng yán|shèn zhì|dōu|tīng|bù dǒng。

Actually, China is very big with many dialects, and people even can’t understand dialects from different cities.

但是随着现代化的发展,普通话越来越普及。

dàn shì|suí zhe|xiàn dài huà|de|fā zhǎn,pǔ tōng huà|yuè lái yuè|pǔ jí。

But with modern development, Putonghua is becoming more and more popular.

像我家里,我是重庆人,我老公是甘肃人,但是我们家都是说普通话。

xiàng|wǒ|jiā lǐ,wǒ|shì|chóng qìng rén,wǒ|lǎo gōng|shì|gān sù rén,dàn shì|wǒ men|jiā|dōu|shì|shuō|pǔ tōng huà。

In my family, I’m from Chongqing and my husband is from Gansu, but we all speak Putonghua at home.

我们家孩子从小就说普通话。

wǒ men|jiā|hái zi|cóng xiǎo|jiù|shuō|pǔ tōng huà。

Our kids have spoken Putonghua since they were little.

他们幼儿园里,比如一个班三十几个小孩,绝大部分都是说普通话,只有很小一部分习惯于说方言。

tā men|yòu ér yuán|lǐ,bǐ rú|yī gè|bān|sān shí jǐ gè|xiǎo hái,jué dà bù fèn|dōu|shì|shuō|pǔ tōng huà,zhǐ yǒu|hěn xiǎo|yī bù fèn|xí guàn yú|shuō|fāng yán。

In their kindergarten, for example, a class of more than 30 kids, most speak Putonghua, only a small part are used to dialect.

我老公的哥哥和他的老婆都是甘肃人,但他们定居在上海,他们家小孩也没有说甘肃话,都是说普通话。

wǒ|lǎo gōng|de|gē ge|hé|tā|de|lǎo pó|dōu|shì|gān sù rén,dàn|tā men|dìng jū|zài|shàng hǎi,tā men|jiā|xiǎo hái|yě|méi yǒu|shuō|gān sù huà,dōu|shì|shuō|pǔ tōng huà。

My husband’s brother and his wife are both from Gansu, but they live in Shanghai, and their kid also speaks Putonghua instead of Gansu dialect.
