For this second instalment, we look back at the masterpiece Elseworld classic that is Kingdom Come. Released as a four part mini-series in 1996, this seminal work by Mark Waid and Alex Ross took the big hitters of the DC universe and put them into a dystopian future where the old guard of heroes have withdrawn into the shadows and have been replaced by a new generation that do not share the moral virtues of their predecessors. With the world at a tipping point, the race towards armageddon has begun...
