  • Bold Moves Episode 30 Fearless Fridays 15 Jaimie Sheth!
It's Friday, which means that it's time for Bold Moves Episode 30 Fearless Fridays 15 Jaimie Sheth! I am almost in disbelief that it is already episode 30! It seems like just yesterday I was banking a ton of episodes together so I could launch the first one, and now we're here! It has been an incredible journey and I hope you've loved it as much as I have, and I am so excited to keep it rolling!
As you know, the Monday episodes are always the interviews, and the Fridays are a challenge from the interviewee. This particular interviewee is one of the post inspiring people I have ever met! She has built schools, homes, and water wells in developing countries. I don't want to spoil the whole thing, so if you haven't already, go back to Monday's episode and have a listen - just click here and scroll down! You can of course also search “Bold Moves” in your favorite podcast app, or click here to catch it on iTunes or Stitcher! Please subscribe, share this with your friends, and leave me nice ratings!

  • Bold Moves Episode 28 Fearless Fridays 14: Derrick Kwa’s Challenge!
Hello and Happy Friday! It's time for Bold Moves Episode 28 Fearless Fridays 14: Derrick Kwa's Challenge! If you haven't already listened to Monday's interview with Derrick, I strongly recommend you go back and do so! Although I don't generally advocate quitting school, it's very bold for Derrick to have done so at sixteen, and I am a HUGE advocate of following your dreams, which is something Derrick definitely does - and right now, one of his dreams is to help others follow theirs!
One way you can be a part of that is by checking out his event coming up - the Bucket List Boot Camp! If you're lucky, you can even win a pair of tickets to it by entering on Monday's post - make sure you check it out! If you don't win, tickets are still very affordable. One thing I love about what Derrick says about the event is that you will actually take action that day toward making your goals a reality - not just learn how to do it, and then never put your knowledge to use!
I always need to give accountability on my #BoldMovesFearlessFridays actions from previous weeks, and this time is no exception! Last Friday, I started a two-week one random act of kindness per day challenge, along with sharing positive news every time I read something negative.
It has been harder sharing the RAKs on social media, especially while traveling, but I feel like doing them has become a habit, which is fantastic! I have been using the #MHTBrightSide hashtag and sharing good, positive news, which I think has been wonderful!
    Now, onto this week!
As always, for the Friday episodes, you can listen in the embedded player below, on iTunes, on Stitcher, or in your favorite podcast app! Just search "Bold Moves!"
I am excited to hear who you contact! This is the link Derrick gave me to use to find harder to find email addresses! I'll be telling you who I contacted and how it went in next week's blog post, but I am really excited to see what comes of it!
I'm also super pumped for next Monday's episode - make sure that you check it out! I have a fantastic guest (a philanthropist and author) and an exciting announcement!
Who are you going to email? What are you going to ask? Comment below!
    xoxo,
    Mandie

  • Bold Moves Podcast Episode 27: Derrick Kwa!
It's here! Bold Moves Podcast Episode 27: Derrick Kwa! I am super excited to share Derrick's adventures with you, along with his gentle spirit and infectious laugh! He and I have a lot in common in terms of goals and dreams, so this was a natural partnership! It's wonderful to meet someone else so invested in helping others follow their dreams!
As always, the Bold Moves Podcast Episode 27: Derrick Kwa! is available in the player embedded below, in the YouTube link below (though this one specifically has a little tech issue - the images did not show up in the intro and outgrow sections, but can you can obviously see them here in this post!

  • Bold Moves Podcast Episode 26 Fearless Fridays 13 with Nicole Zamora!
Hello and Happy Friday! I hope you are having a fantastic week! Have you ever watched the news or scrolled through your newsfeed on Facebook, and felt sad, hopeless, afraid, or a combination of the three? That's the exact reason for this Bold Moves Podcast Episode 26 Fearless Fridays 13 with Nicole Zamora!
If you haven't already, please go listen to or watch Monday's episode! This one will make so much more sense once you do, plus Nicole is awesome, plus we had a blast drinking some wine, and PLUS, you could win some sustainable beauty products from My Hair Trip, the first eco-friendly salon, boutique and gallery in Denver, which Nicole and her wonderful husband created together!
As always, you can watch Monday's episodes on YouTube, or in their specific posts. For both Monday and Friday posts, you can listen in the player embedded in each post, listen on iTunes or Stitcher, or search for "Bold Moves" in your favorite podcast app!
Before I go too deep into the discussion of Bold Moves Podcast Episode 26 Fearless Fridays 13 with Nicole Zamora!, I want to report on the last challenge! When this posts, I will be finishing up the challenge from two weeks prior - to write three things each day for which I'm thankful. I'm proud to say that I did this every day of the two weeks on my Instagram page, so feel free to go check that out! And if you're reading this a long time after the challenge is done, you can see it forever by searching the hashtag "#BoldMovesFearlessFridays!" I will persist until this is "a thing!"
As of today or tomorrow, I still need to start Cory Zimmermann's challenge to do a random act of kindness once per day every day for two weeks, and I think that that challenge corresponds perfectly with Bold Moves Podcast Episode 26 Fearless Fridays 13 with Nicole Zamora! Nicole's challenge doesn't have an end date, so I plan to use it well for the two weeks of Cory's challenge, and then still try to keep it at the front of my mind indefinitely, but just using #MHTBrightside after the first week or two!
This is the perfect time of year to spread positivity. I can't wait to see what you do for yours!
And to keep in full disclosure and accountability, I must admit that I have not yet completed Neda's challenge, but am working closer to it... I'm doing the prep work for it first!
So, which of the options that I shared for Bold Moves Podcast Episode 26 Fearless Fridays 13 with Nicole Zamora! are you going to choose? I'd love to hear how doing this challenge impacts you, too! Comment below!
    xoxo,

  • Bold Moves Podcast Episode 25: Nicole Zamora of My Hair Trip!
I am so beyond excited to finally share Bold Moves Podcast Episode 25: Nicole Zamora of My Hair Trip! Nicole was one of the first people on my list to interview, it just took a bit to get her on - partially because it was a bit outside of her comfort zone! She is one of my dearest friends, and will be standing up in our wedding next July, so when I make the post introducing my bridesmaids, you will learn even more about our friendship, but first, here's some information about Nicole and her Bold Moves!  As always, you can choose to listen on iTunes, Stitcher, your favorite podcast app, the player embedded below on this page, or you can watch our interview on YouTube!
    YouTube
I am so happy to have Bold Moves Podcast Episode 25: Nicole Zamora of My Hair Trip! finally happen, and really hope that if you ever go to Denver, you check out this salon. I think what she is doing is so amazing, plus she is an incredible stylist!
It's funny, because Nicole has so much in common with Alan, another member of our bridal party in that they both moved across the country and started businesses, but also have so much that is opposite - like how much calculation and planning went into the "deciding to open a business" aspect!
Her journey started with a "Summer of Nicole" to do what she wanted to do without obligations, and then she followed her heart and so much else fell into place.  She says she felt like she was floundering, and didn't have a plan, but she had faith that it would fall into place, and it did.  [Tweet ""People don't spend enough time caring for themselves. Everyone is too busy!" - Nicole Zamora via @Mandelicious"]
Nicole's goal with the beautiful salon pictured above is to make people leave My Hair Trip feeling better than when they came in, and empower them to go out into the world and make it a better place.  A visit to My Hair Trip is intended to plant a seed of positivity into each guest, with the hope that it will blossom outside of the salon and ripple to others that those people encounter, making the world a better place!  My Hair Trip has partnered with Green Circle Salons, which does a lot of different things for salons to reduce the carbon footprint salons leave, like recycling foils, reusing hair to clean up oil spills, and much more (listen to Nicole explain it)!  Speaking of partners... This is another shot of Nicole's lovely partner and husband, Paul!  In addition to the repurposing, recycling, and composting, they make sure they use cruelty-free products at My Hair Trip!  Please send this podcast to anyone you know who works at a salon, so they can learn about Green Circle, too, and reduce the environmental impact that salons have in their business as well!
I think that the advice Nicole gives is great - follow your heart, pray, and have faith that it all will work out!
Let's chat about her favorite books! Also like Alan, she loves what the Freakonomics people have to offer - Superfreak was her favorite book! As a busy mom and business-owner, she struggles to find time to read books, but loves the children's book Mr. Tiger Goes Wild, and finds that the message within is useful for adults, too!
If you'd like to see more of Nicole, or her salon, check out My Hair Trip on Facebook, Instagram, and Google Plus!
The link to the My Hair Trip Salon's website has been sprinkled throughout!
Nicole and My Hair Trip have been so generous to donate some sustainable beauty products (the picture is just an example - I'd be just as surprised as you to know what)! Check this out to win!
    Sustainable Beauty Products Giveaway!
Thank you so much for checking out Bold Moves Podcast Episode 25: Nicole Zamora of My Hair Trip! I really hope you loved it!
Obviously, since this was such a close friend of mine, it went differently, but I was trying to take Tommy's feedback to heart. I'd love your feedback, too!
