This week we read a novella that Sarah suggested, which sheds a new light and perspective on the Sci-Fi genre. Binti, Hugo and Nebula award winning novella by Nnedi Okorafor.

Next week we read a few short stories by Nnedi Okorafor in kabu kabu – kabu kabu, The Magical Negro, Spider the Artist, The Ghastly Bird, The Carpet, and The Baboon War.

This week we continue with the second installment of the chronicles of Stephen Leeds and his cast of aspects. Sarah GW helps lend some educated insight, and brings back some of the ghosts of episodes past.

Next up Binti by Nnedi Okorafor – still in our “bailiwick” of Sci-fi, but a very different cultural perspective.

We finish up our review of the plot of the first of the Bobiverse books. We discuss the ship of Theseus, what make you, you, as well as a handful of analysis of the prime directive a la Star Trek.

We take a little detour from our regularly scheduled content to bring you another of our live episodes. We are doing a crossover episode with our sister pod GoT Questions. Here we read and discuss the first of the Dunk and Egg stories The Hedge Knight with special guests Sarah and Breanna (and Hao the Hammer laughs a couple of times into the mic) with fact checking from none other than Lee.

We start in on a new book part of the Bobiverse trilogy which BJ has recommended (and harangued Spencer to read for a while now). We cover about half the plot and touch on some of the philosophical questions posed by a virtual copy of one’s self and living forever.

Next week we continue with the plot and delve a bit more into the issues brought up by the book.
